As a vital part of the global Davies Group, we help businesses navigate risk, optimize operations, and spearhead transformation in the insurance and regulated sectors.\n\nThe ideal candidate is a hands-on, detail-oriented leader with a strong technical foundation in accounting and financial reporting, proven experience managing distributed teams, and a passion for driving process excellence and automation.\nKey Responsibilities\nLead full-cycle accounting operations including general ledger, consolidations, intercompany eliminations, account reconciliations, accruals, and month/year-end close.\nOversee financial reporting to internal leadership and/or external clients, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP (or applicable standards) and regulatory requirements.\nLead, mentor, and develop accounting teams: ensuring effective communication, workload balance, and consistent execution across time zones.\nOwn the internal control environment - design, implement, and monitor accounting policies, procedures, and control frameworks to safeguard assets and ensure compliance.\nManage audit and tax relationships, coordinating with external auditors, advisors, and internal stakeholders to support timely filings and audits.\nPartner with FP&A and operations teams to support budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis.\nDrive process improvement and automation initiatives, leveraging systems and tools to streamline workflows, improve accuracy, and enhance reporting efficiency.\nLead system implementations, integrations, or transitions related to ERP, accounting, or reporting platforms.\nProvide strategic accounting insight to executive leadership on business decisions, growth initiatives, and financial risks/opportunities.\nSupport special projects including M&A integrations, entity restructuring, and global expansion.\nSkills, knowledge & expertise\nBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.\nCPA Required.\nProgressive accounting experience, including leadership or controller-level capacity.\nExperience managing remote or global accounting teams preferred.\nDeep understanding of U.S. GAAP and internal control frameworks (SOX exposure a plus).\nProven success leading complex month-end and year-end close processes for multi-entity or multi-client environments.\nStrong technical systems proficiency, ERP (Sage), advanced Excel, and accounting automation tools.\nEqual Employment Opportunity & Legal Notices\n Benefits\nAt Davies North America, we are dedicated to supporting the well-being and future of our qualifying employees.
