Additionally, you should possess strong communication skills and a willingness to work with and learn new third-party software systems and vendors. You should also be capable of working both collaboratively and independently, and be proactive and take initiative.\nKey Responsibilities\nParticipate in and/or lead the effort in the evaluation of business requirements and processes, preparation of application system specifications and the development, testing and implementation of efficient, cost-effective applications solutions\nProvide design leadership and set direction for new systems development\nEstablish procedures for change control and product migration\nAssume responsibility and ownership for all systems and system related problems, regardless of current assignment\nReview documented business requirements and test plans and provide technical feedback to Business Analysts\nEnsure quality through thorough unit testing of all code and participating in systems integrated testing\nAssist Business Analysts and End Users with any technical issues during systems integrated testing, parallel testing, training sessions and demonstrations\nProvide on-call support for the production systems on a rotating basis\nMaintain existing applications adhering to the established architecture and standards for that application\nWrite technical documentation in support of assigned projects\nDocument all code using format established by the project\nDevelop and maintain effective relationships and communication with the team, other co-workers, management, clients and vendors\nProvide technical coaching and mentoring to other members of the systems development team\nSupport company values of We are Dynamic, related field or a combination of education and experience\n3-5 years’ software development experience\nExperience in developing systems using Visual Basic.NET, SQL Server and XML.\nExperience in developing through full stack systems in building both the front-end (user-facing, client-side) and back-end (server-side, database, API) layers of web or application development.\nExperience in working with Microsoft Office Suite, code management applications like GitHub and DevOps deployment. \nMust speak English\n\n Preferred\nInsurance industry experience preferred (life, disability and/or long-term care insurance)\nProactive, independent, and takes initiative with consistent follow through\nExcellent oral and written communication skills\nExcellent time management skills with
