Design & Development\nLead the development of secure, high-quality applications using C#, .NET Core, SQL Server, and modern JavaScript frameworks (React preferred).\nDesign, develop, and maintain microservices, APIs, and event-driven architectures.\nApply SOLID principles, design patterns, and engineering best practices across solutions.\nEnsure reliable production performance through modern site reliability engineering approaches.\nTechnicalLeadership & Mentoring\nProvide technical guidance, coaching, and mentorship to less experienced engineers.\nChampion Test Driven Development (TDD), automated testing, and continuous delivery.\nLead the team in adopting modern engineering techniques, tools, and frameworks.\nSupport peers in writing maintainable, clean, and scalable code.\nCollaboration & Technical Partnerships\nWork closely with architects to evolve frameworks, patterns, and reference architecture.\nCollaborate with product, QA, and DevOps teams to ensure seamless delivery pipelines.\nEngage with third-party software vendors across design, development, and support lifecycles.\nPartner with cloud engineering teams to deliver scalable Azure-based solutions.\nContinuous Improvement & Innovation\nExperiment with emerging technologies and propose improvements to engineering practices.\nContribute to architectural discussions, technical roadmaps, and engineering standards.\nSupport the evolution of secure coding standards and DevSecOps practices.\nDrive automation across testing, deployments, and environments.\nSkills, Knowledge & Expertise\nSkills, Knowledge and Expertise\nStrong experience in C#, .NET Core, SQL Server, Entity Framework.\nSkilled in React (or Angular/Vue) and modern JavaScript practices.\nExperience building microservices, event-driven systems, and distributed architectures.\nCloud experience with Azure Functions, Azure components (or AWS/GCP equivalents).\nStrong understanding of TDD, unit testing, automated testing frameworks.\nProficiency in CI/CD pipelines, DevOps tools, and secure coding practices.\nSolid understanding of RESTful APIs and Web APIs.\nEnd-to-end ownership of feature development from technical design through to deployment.\nContribution to and compliance with engineering standards, frameworks, and code quality expectations.\nSupport and maintenance of key applications within the Davies estate.\nLeadership of technical initiatives that uplift team capability and maturity.\nActive participation in Agile ceremonies and sprint planning.\nConsistent delivery of secure, maintainable, and efficient code following best
