direction, estimation and delivery oversight across the development lifecycle.\nSet coding standards, conduct code and design reviews, and mentor developers to improve engineering quality and capability.\nDiagnose production issues, improve application performance and resilience, and ensure effective root-cause analysis.\nPartner with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Architects, QA and operational teams to manage dependencies, risks and delivery priorities.\nParticipate in knowledge-transfer activities, maintain technical documentation and support guides for assigned applications, and share learning to help the internal team reduce reliance on external vendors and subject-matter experts.\nEnsure compliance with architecture, security, testing, release and change-management standards.\nContribute to Agile ceremonies, release planning and continuous improvement of engineering practices.\nSkills, Knowledge and Expertise\nMandatory experience and education\nTotal experience: 5-8 years in software development, including experience delivering and supporting enterprise applications.\nRelevant experience: 5+ years of hands-on OutSystems development, with recent experience leading technical design, delivery or mentoring.\nEducation: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Technology or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.\nDesirable\nOutSystems Professional Developer certification.\nExperience with insurance, claims or underwriting platforms and workflows.\nExperience integrating OutSystems applications with Azure services, enterprise identity, monitoring and deployment tooling.\nExperience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices and automated quality controls.\nExperience supporting enterprise-scale, business-critical applications.\nFamiliarity with observability, application monitoring and performance optimisation.\nStrong experience with OutSystems 11, exposure to OutSystems Developer Cloud is desirable.\nWorking knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript, including the ability to troubleshoot custom extensions and front-end performance issues.\nEssential\n5+ years of software development experience, including 3+ years recent hands-on OutSystems development.\nStrong hands-on experience with OutSystems Service Studio, Service Center and LifeTime, including deployment, environment management, monitoring and troubleshooting.\nExperience designing and supporting REST and SOAP integrations, including authentication, error handling, retries, logging and integration troubleshooting.\nDemonstrable experience leading technical design and delivery for complex enterprise applications.\nStrong understanding of modular OutSystems architecture, reusable services and components, dependency management, application layering and technical-debt remediation.\nWorking SQL, relational data modelling and database optimisation skills.\nExperience designing and implementing REST APIs, enterprise integrations, authentication and authorisation.\nSound understanding of secure development, application security and non-functional requirements.\nExperience with Agile/Scrum delivery, estimation, release planning and production support.\nAbility to conduct code reviews, establish engineering standards and mentor developers.\nStrong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.\nExcellent communication, collaboration and stakeholder-management skills.\nCertification: OutSystems Professional Developer certification is preferred.\nSuccess
