This role manages Workers’ Compensation claims from intake through resolution and may support lost time claim. As the Workers' Compensation Lost Time Adjuster, you will investigate, evaluate, and manage claims in accordance with company guidelines, client expectations, and jurisdictional requirements.\nTo be successful in this role you must have municipality/public entity experience, along with presumption experience.\nKey Responsibilities\nClaim Ownership & Adjudication\nManage Workers’ Compensation claims from intake through closure \nDetermine compensability and benefit eligibility \nEstablish and adjust reserves based on claim exposure \nInvestigation & Case Management\nConduct investigations, including interviews and documentation review \nDevelop and execute claim strategies \nIdentify opportunities for early resolution \nMedical & Indemnity Management\nMonitor treatment plans and coordinate return-to-work efforts \nAdminister indemnity benefits in compliance with jurisdictional requirements \nLitigation Management\nCoordinate with defense counsel on litigated claims \nSupport hearings, mediations, and settlements \n Client Communication & Compliance\nProvide timely updates to clients and stakeholders \nEnsure compliance with all state regulations and internal standards \nSkills, knowledge & expertise\n3+ years of Workers’ Compensation claims handling experience \nExperience with medical-only, lost time, or blended Workers’ Compensation claim portfolios preferred \nMust have active FL-license (6-20 or 5-20)\nMust have presumption experience \nMust be located in Eastern Time Zone and be able to work M-F, 8am - 5pm.\nStrong knowledge of Workers’ Compensation laws, benefit structures, and claims processes\nExperience managing indemnity payments and return-to-work programs\nAbility to handle multiple claims in a fast-paced environment\nStrong investigative, analytical, and decision-making skills \nEffective negotiation and problem-solving abilities \nExcellent written and verbal communication skills \nProficiency with claims management systems and related technology \nActive adjuster license(s) or ability to obtain as required\nPreferred\nExperience with EDI reporting and jurisdictional compliance requirements \nFamiliarity with nurse case management and medical cost containment strategies \n\nEqual Employment Opportunity & Legal Notices\n Benefits\nAt Davies North America, we are dedicated to supporting the well-being and future of our qualifying employees.
