If you desire a career that allows you to embrace your passion for helping others while encouraging you to grow and develop your skills in patient care, we would love to talk with you!\nPOSITION SUMMARY:\nThe Technician fulfills an important role in providing data that is critical to the doctor in order to provide proper care and treatment to each patient. This individual is responsible for various administrative and clinical functions, including obtaining patient histories, performing preliminary and ancillary testing, scheduling patients, preparing the exam room, and assisting the doctors with any exam needs. They ensure the practice’s quality standards are met, while completing specific, essential responsibilities that pertain to the patient’s experience and effective communication.\nWHAT WE OFFER:\n6.5 paid holidays per year\nPTO after the first 60 days of employment \nFull slate of benefits to include health, dental, vision, and 401k\nGrowth and wage increase through company paid certification program\nESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:\nPrepare patients for eye examinations by communicating the features and benefits of our preliminary testing procedures.\nPerform all preliminary and any doctor requested tests on all patients.\nAssist optometrist and ophthalmologist with patient procedures.\nCoordinate patient scheduling and monitor patient flow throughout the office, properly communicating delays.\nPrepare exam room by cleaning instruments and maintaining inventory of medications and supplies.\nProvide a safe, clean, organized and inviting environment for both patients and staff.\nPerform other duties and assume various responsibilities as determined by the office manager or team lead, and doctor(s).\nPHYSICAL DEMANDS (per ADA guidelines):\nPhysical Activity: Standing for sustained periods of time, Stooping, Grasping, Lifting, Talking, Hearing.\nPhysical requirements: Light work.
