This candidate will become part of a team that provides project consulting, site planning, design, permitting, and engineering services to a wide variety of clients. The ideal candidate will work in a strong team environment of highly motivated professionals for a privately owned and oriented company that prides itself on integrity and quality.\nResponsibilities\nPerform all aspects of site design such as processing surveys, grading, drainage, stormwater management, water distribution and sewer collection, erosion control, SWPPP and reports, as well as project bidding and construction management\nDevelop construction cost estimates\nSolve problems and provide technical advice\nCheck and prepare site plans, designs, and drawings\nReview data collected through field studies and surveys\nApply sound engineering principles to the solution of routine technical problems\nCoordinate and manage daily activities/scheduling of various assigned projects\nReview and prepare design computations and quantity estimates\nAssist senior level engineers and project managers with project design, project specifications, and inspections\nCorrespond with clients and regulatory agencies by phone, in writing and in person to communicate and establish expectations\nConduct construction site visits to monitor progress and other contracted construction services\nAssist senior level engineers and project managers with ensuring budgets, schedules and project specifications are met\nAssist in preparation of presentation material for client meetings and public review sessions\nMentor and oversee the work of staff civil engineers and technical subordinates\nTrain and mold EIT’s into consummate licensed professionals\nProvide necessary coordination and follow-up on the work to ensure quality standards and client satisfaction are met\nAssist senior civil engineers/project managers by executing additional duties and responsibilities as assigned\nRequirements\nBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required\nProfessional Engineer (PE) is required\nMinimum of 8 years design experience in site development, grading, drainage, stormwater management, and permitting with an emphasis on technical design and permitting on commercial and industrial projects\nFamiliarity with federal, state, and local agency regulations\nKnowledge of engineering and surveying practices\nExperience managing a wide variety of site development projects, and working with clients\nAbility to manage and clearly communicate with staff and clients\nExperience in Autodesk AutoCAD Civil 3D, Autodesk Vehicle Tracking, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, SEDCAD and PCSWMM\nValid driver's license and acceptable driving record required\nSkill in planning, organizing, and prioritizing work\nA positive attitude and willingness to train and learn","description_format":"text","description_chars":3037,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":8,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":{"level":"bachelor","optional":false},"security_clearance":false,"languages":[]},"benefits":[],"hiring_locations":[],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":["Engineering Services"],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-10-01T23:50:36Z"}],"visa":[],"liveness":{"score":18,"band":"cold","label":"Long shot","p_open":1,"p_active":0.631,"p_room":0.28,"age_days":86,"expected_fill_days":40,"reasons":["conf:23","win:tail","crowd:"],"computed_at":"2026-10-04T05:45:00Z"},"pay":null,"html_url":"https://alion.io/job/davis-floyd-civil-engineer","json_url":"https://alion.io/job/davis-floyd-civil-engineer.json","meta":{"generated_at":"2026-10-05T00:59:50Z","cache_seconds":300,"methodology":"https://alion.io/methodology","terms":"https://alion.io/terms","contact":"https://alion.io/contact","api":"https://alion.io/developers","usage":{"tier":"crawler","counted_by":"address","units_charged":1,"used_today":1287,"day_limit":5000,"remaining_today":3713,"minute_limit":60,"resets_at":"2026-10-06T00:00:00Z"}}}
