The company builds enterprise data services and information applications for enterprise and government customers.\nKey Responsibilities:\nDesign, deploy, and manage scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure)\nMonitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure uptime and reliability\nEvaluate and prioritize cloud infrastructure requests from multiple business units by assessing technical complexity and business value\nEnsure cloud infrastructure and operations comply with relevant regulatory frameworks (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR) and internal security policies\nDevelop and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or Jenkins to streamline application delivery and infrastructure provisioning through automation and best practices.\nCreate, maintain, and improve our Infrastructure as Code use via Terraform\nOwn the creation and upkeep of technical documentation that empowers the support team to resolve incidents quickly and accurately\nManage, discover and drive cloud cost optimization strategies\nProvide off-hours support for critical infrastructure issues on an as-needed basis, ensuring timely resolution of incidents\nOversee and manage application deployments, ensuring timely and reliable releases to staging, and production environments.\nDevelop and document standard operating procedures, deployment processes, and troubleshooting guides.\nDefine and maintain infrastructure reference architectures, standards, and reusable building blocks (patterns/playbooks) that teams and partners must adopt.\nCollaborate closely with external Managed Service Providers (MSPs) to oversee cloud operations, ensure service delivery expectations are met, validate technical recommendations, and align managed services with business and security objectives.\nAssess, recommend, and implement emerging cloud-native AI services and integration opportunities that support innovation, operational excellence, and business transformation.\nExplore and implement AI-driven monitoring, automated defect triage, and operational efficiency tooling\nRequirements\n5+ years of progressively responsible, hands-on operations experience utilizing Amazon Web Services Cloud infrastructure and cloud services.\nTechnical experience required: Linux and Windows Server OS management and maintenance\n instance and container build processes and their tools; Packer, Docker, EC2 Image Builder\n AWS services such as EC2, S3, IAM, CodeDeploy, CloudWatch, Fargate/ECS, Lambda, VPC, ALB, CloudFront, MSK, SQS, SNS, CloudFormation\n CI/CD support utilizing Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins\n Experience with IIS (Internet Information Services), Active Directory, .NET and other applications in the Windows ecosystem\n Basic SQL administration and management capability of database technologies (RDS, Aurora, DynamoDB)\n Experience managing networking, routing, firewalls, load balancing, etc in an hybrid environment\n\nJira and other Atlassian product experience a plus\nStrong automation and configuration management experience\nAWS Solutions Architect Associate level or similar preferred\nAbility to interact with teams in a professional, ar\nCommunicates effectively with both technical staff and senior leadership\nStrong written and verbal communications skills\nAble to learn and adapt to recent technologies through self-directed training\nPreferred Experience:\nAmazon architecture design\nSupport for customer facing services including API, SaaS (Software as a Service), and DaaS (Data as a Service) support\nImplementing advanced monitoring tools focused on monitoring cloud-based systems\nAdditional Information:\nThis is a remote opportunity that can be done from anywhere in the continental United States and/or Canada\nMust be eligible to work in the U.S. or Canada without company sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment-based work authorization.
