You will be responsible for creating design and technical specifications from business requirements, establishing coding standards, and providing technical guidance and mentorship to Developers and Senior Developers. You will lead architecture design and code reviews, collaborate across Agile delivery teams, champion AI-assisted developer tooling, and partner with QA and support teams to drive defect resolution and performance tuning across complex enterprise integration platforms.\nEssential Duties & Responsibilities\nCreate Design & Technical Specifications from business requirements/specifications, providing technical architecture guidance, code standards, and mentoring to Developers and Sr. Developers.\nLead and participate in architecture design and code reviews, collaborating closely with fellow developers, solution architects, and engineering leadership.\nGuide the design, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise middleware, microservices, and message-oriented integration solutions (Apache Camel, Red Hat Fuse, Kafka, ActiveMQ).\nDesign and build secure RESTful and SOAP Web Services, API contracts, Data Mapping, and complex XML/JSON message processing transformations.\nMentor team members on AI prompt engineering, code review practices for AI-generated code, and maintaining quality, security, and coding standards.\nCollaborate with Product Owners, Product Managers, Business Analysts, Architects, Developers, and Quality Analysts throughout all phases of the project delivery lifecycle (SDLC/Agile).\nPartner with Quality Analysts and support teams to troubleshoot complex integration issues/defects, identify root causes, and drive production defect resolutions and performance tuning in Linux and Cloud environments.\nQualifications & Experience\nBachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).\n7+ years of experience in Java / J2EE development and enterprise application integration solutions (EAI, B2B, ESB) is required.\n5+ years of hands-on experience with Red Hat Fuse ESB, Apache Camel, Apache ActiveMQ, Apache Kafka, Camel on Spring Boot, and application server technologies (Karaf, JBoss).\nIn-depth development and implementation experience with Spring and Spring Boot frameworks.\nStrong expertise in designing and building RESTful and SOAP Web Services, API contracts, Data Mapping, and XML/JSON message processing.\nStrong experience with modern DevOps and CI/CD tools, including Git, Stash/Bitbucket, Jenkins, Artifactory, Maven, SonarQube, and Docker containerization.\nExtensive experience in Linux and Cloud operating environments is required.\nProven experience applying software development methodologies (SDLC, Agile/Scrum) and leading technical delivery teams.\nExperience leveraging enterprise AI developer tools for code generation, automated unit test creation, refactoring, and optimizing development workflows.\nProficiencies in HL7 and EDI libraries, as well as JSON and XML messaging standards, are strongly preferred.\nProficiency designing and developing complex enterprise integrations using Workday Studio is strongly preferred.\nExperience with centralized logging and monitoring stacks such as Splunk and Dynatrace is preferred.\nWhat We’ll Provide\nMore than just pay, our DaVita Rewards package connects teammates to what matters most.
