About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Banking Operations team as an associate on a 6 month FTC. The team are responsible for the daily banking activity for Davy clients. This includes electronic banking, payment processing (EFT, SDMT, BACS, CHAPS, SWIFT, SEPA) transfer of funds between Davy accounts, deposit account management & compliance with the Client Asset Requirements (CAR).

In the role, the successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Verification and quality control checking of payments processed by the team, including pension distributions, property expenses, and ad hoc client payments.
  • Completion of daily automated EFT payment report.
  • Managing daily deposit movements between Davy and partnering institutions, posting of deposit interest and query resolution.
  • Processing of FX transactions on behalf of clients.
  • Partnering with Group Risk and departmental risk teams to promote a strong risk culture within the team.
  • Assisting team director with strategic projects and system developments to enhance capabilities.
  • Provide support to other members of the team and cover team members as required.
  • Operate in line with risk and compliance frameworks, and all policies and procedures associated with the role.
  • Communicate with key stakeholders, both internal and external, and prioritise urgent tasks as required.

Requirements

About you

We are looking for somebody who has the following background and skills:

  • Relevant third level degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
  • Previous banking/payment experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Critical thinking skills, accuracy, and diligence.
  • Experience of successfully working to tight deadlines.
  • A positive attitude, strong work ethic, flexible outlook and a high level of initiative and enthusiasm.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
