The Private Client Adviser team supports clients with increasingly complex financial needs who require ongoing financial planning and investment advice to build, protect and transfer wealth. Working with a diverse portfolio of clients, you will help individuals, families and corporates work through bespoke financial planning-led investment, protection and pension journeys.\nThe successful candidate will:\nBuild trusted relationships with clients, understanding their financial objectives, personal circumstances and long-term goals. \nConvert referral opportunities into new business through effective advice conversations and relationship management. \nDeliver holistic financial advice across investments, pensions, retirement and protection solutions. \nProvide clear, compliant financial advice and develop tailored financial plans aligned to client needs using Davy’s digital platform and client engagement tools. \nBuild and maintain a strong pipeline of prospective clients through referrals and lead generation opportunities \nEngage and influence to create and grow effective partnerships, both internally and externally, to drive new business performance. \nPartner closely with Bank of Ireland, Davy and wider Group colleagues to maximise referral opportunities and deliver joined-up client outcomes. \nDirect and manage, formally or informally, others involved in complex processes to ensure ultimate successful delivery of client outcomes. \nMake informed, transparent decisions and consider the broader/longer term implications for the benefit of client and business. Engage, direct and manage others in decision making processes, gaining agreement and managing collective work to successful conclusion. \nEnsure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, Davy’s Risk Management Framework and internal Policies and Policy Standards; \nTake ownership for issues that impact clients, leading others where necessary and proactively seeking opportunities to lead business improvement. Identify issues, solve problems and enable breakthrough innovations, as well as incremental improvements to the business and our client service. \nWhat will make you stand out?\nYou enjoy building long-term trusted relationships and are passionate about helping clients achieve better financial outcomes. You combine strong technical financial planning knowledge with the ability to communicate complex concepts in a simple and engaging manner. \nYou are client focused and take pride in delivering advice with integrity, professionalism and care. With circa 4+ years’ experience providing financial advice, including, some or all of the following: pensions, investment and protection, either within Ireland or outside of Ireland. Previous experience in a Mifid firm is desirable but not essential. \nYou are organised and proactive, managing your time effectively while maintaining high standards of administration and compliance. You enjoy building relationships and working collaboratively with colleagues and referral partners. You are curious about economic and product developments and motivated to continue developing your technical knowledge, supported by structured training and ongoing professional development. \nYou embrace technology and are comfortable using digital planning tools, CRM platforms and client portals to improve client outcomes. You adapt quickly to digital ways of working while ensuring all regulatory and compliance standards are met. \nYou are naturally curious, commercially minded and committed to ongoing professional development. \nYou may currently be working as:\nAn established Financial Adviser. \nA Financial Planner or Associate Adviser within a wealth management firm. \nA (Senior) Investment or Portfolio Analyst seeking to transition into a client-facing advisory career. \nAn Adviser within a retail banking, life and pensions or protection business. \nA Wealth Management professional supporting advisers and seeking the next step into lead advisory responsibilities. \nThe position set out above is defined as a “Controlled Function (CF)” role, namely CF3, CF4, CF10.under Section 20 of the Central Bank Reform Act 2010 and Schedule 1 of the Regulations (S.I. No. 437 of 2011) as amended. In accordance with Section 21 of the Central Bank Reform Act 2010 and the Fitness and Probity Standards 2014, any offer of employment is conditional upon you demonstrating that you meet the Fitness & Probity requirements, applicable to this position. The role is also subject to the Minimum Competency Code and therefore there is a requirement to hold, or be willing to take the APA (Regulation & Investment) or (Pensions) or Registered Stockbroker or QFA exams.\nRequirements\nAbout You\nWe are looking for someone with the following background and skills:\nDegree or Masters level qualification in a business, accounting, law, engineering or related discipline. \nQFA qualification essential. \nCFP qualification preferred or a commitment to achieving CFP status. \nAdditional relevant qualifications and level of expertise would be beneficial, e.g. CFA, ACCA, CTA. \nMembership of relevant professional networks. \nA strong client focus to ensure effective service delivery. \nA commitment to further education and continuous professional development. \nStrong understanding of financial planning principles across investments, retirement planning and protection solutions. \nExpert level knowledge of financial markets and investment. \nExcellent knowledge of the regulatory framework. \nA high level of initiative and determination with the ability to identify opportunities within the market. \nAn exemplary team player capable of galvanising and leading a team from within, as well as being highly self-motivated and an independent self-starter who needs the minimum of supervision. \nDemonstrable ability to establish and develop excellent wealth management client relationships. \nThe ability to manage risk and protect clients. \nSatisfactory fulfilment of minimum competency criteria as set out in the Minimum Competency Code. \nBenefits\nWhat we offer\nAt Davy, our people are our biggest investment.
