As part of a team of over 900, you will be encouraged to learn and to grow, both professionally and personally.\nAbout the role\nAn exciting opportunity has opened up in the 1st Line of Defence against Financial Crime on a 3 month Fixed Term Contract basis. In the role, the successful candidate will:\nConduct Ongoing Due Diligence reviews on customers, including High Risk, PEP’s and Corporates\nTransaction Monitoring: Review Alerts to identify indicators of Fraud, AML, Terrorist Financing and other high-risk indicators.\nBecome expert in internal and external systems to ensure all monitoring and screening activities are effectively documented in compliance with internal standards and regulatory expectations\nAnalyze customer transactions with reference to their risk profile and history to determine reasonable basis for potentially suspicious transactions\nAssess screening alerts for political exposure and sanctions\nDocument alert assessments in line with procedures and escalate suspicious transactions and PEP/sanction alerts\nPrepare first draft narratives on SAR/STR’s for reporting to FIU and revenue\nComplete all reviews in line with Davy standards and KPI’s\nSupport colleagues in the second line of defence in responding to FIU and Revenue queries\nRequirements\nAbout you\nBachelor's degree in law, business, finance, or accounting preferred or Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) or similar Compliance diploma or accreditation\n1+ years' experience in transaction monitoring and screening for financial crimes, and ongoing due diligence reviews preferably in an investment firm or other financial institution\nKnowledge of financial crime methods - Smurfing, Money in/out, Insider Trading and Market Abuse\nKnowledge of the Criminal Justice Act obligations and CBI Guidelines relating to reporting of potentially suspicious activity\nStrong analytical skills with a strong attention to detail, and a direct experience escalating high-risk issues to management\nExcellent oral and written communication skills\nSelf-motivated with the ability to work in a small team\nBenefits\nWhat we offer\nAt Davy, our people are our biggest investment.
