This role combines automation expertise with hands-on manual testing, including test design, execution, automation framework development, and continuous testing practices.\nIn the role, the successful candidate will:\nSupport both manual and automated testing activities\nEnsure the quality, reliability, and performance of business-critical applications\nWork closely with developers, business analysts, product owners, and QA teams to drive quality throughout the software development lifecycle.\nAbout you\nWe are looking for somebody who has the following background and skills:\n5+ years' experience in a QA role with strong experience in both manual and automation testing. \nProven experience updating and maintaining enterprise-scale test automation frameworks. \nHands-on experience in designing, executing, and maintaining manual test cases and test suites. \nGood understanding of Quality Engineering, testing strategy, and governance. \nExperience implementing and managing testing initiatives across web, API, and desktop platforms. \nProven experience integrating testing into Agile, DevOps, and CI/CD delivery models. \nExperience implementing AI-powered testing capabilities. \nStrong knowledge of functional, integration, regression, compatibility, and exploratory testing practices. \nExcellent communication skills within enterprise environments.\nTechnical Expertise - MUST HAVE\nJava-based automation development using Selenium WebDriver and Playwright.\nRelational database query development using SQL, DB2, or equivalent query languages.\nCI/CD tools including Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and Git.\nCloud technologies including Azure or AWS with experience testing cloud-native applications and microservices.\nExperience working as part of a Scrum team, actively participating in sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.\nExperience in Stockbroking, Banking or Finance sector\nNICE TO HAVE\nAPI automation using REST Assured or equivalent frameworks.\nAI-driven testing approaches including self-healing automation, AI-assisted test generation, and intelligent defect analysis.\nContract testing (PACT), service virtualisation, and integration testing methodologies.\nPerformance testing and engineering using tools such as JMeter, k6, or LoadRunner.\nSalesforce platform testing across integrated business applications.\nThis specification is suitable for a SDET or Automation Tester responsible for designing and implementing quality automation excellence and AI-enabled testing practices.\nBenefits\nWhat we offer\nAt Davy, our people are our biggest investment.
