In this role, you will assemble, test, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, and optical/electro-optical assemblies while working closely with Production, Quality, Engineering, and other cross-functional teams.\nThe ideal candidate will have hands-on manufacturing experience, strong troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to read and interpret work instructions, schematics, drawings, and Bills of Materials.\nKey Responsibilities\nAssemble and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, optical, and electro-optical assemblies.\nProvide first-line technical support to the Production team.\nWork with Quality, Engineering, Production, and other departments to resolve technical and manufacturing issues.\nRecommend improvements to work instructions, checklists, troubleshooting guides, and other documentation to improve manufacturability and quality.\nPartner with Manufacturing Engineers to test new processes, collect data, and support continuous improvement initiatives.\nDiagnose and repair returned customer systems and recommend appropriate repair or upgrade actions.\nCollaborate with Applications Engineers to determine the best solutions for customer systems.\nProvide technical training to small groups of Assemblers and Technicians.\nSupport new product introductions, new tool qualifications, and new-part testing.\nExecute test plans, collect and analyze data, and prepare technical reports.\nPerform root-cause analysis and recommend containment and corrective actions.\nMaintain a clean and organized work environment while following applicable safety and ESD procedures.\nRequired Qualifications\nAssociate degree in a technical field is highly desired; equivalent technical certifications or experience may be considered.\n 3+ years of manufacturing-related experience preferred, ideally in optics, electro-optics, electronics, or electromechanical manufacturing.\nStrong mechanical, electrical, and/or electronic troubleshooting skills.\nAbility to read and understand work instructions, Bills of Materials (BOMs), schematics, drawings, and technical documentation.\nExperience using standard hand tools and electronic test equipment.\nKnowledge ofESD practices.\nGeneral computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Teams.\nAbility to troubleshoot software-driven systems.\nAbility to analyze data and communicate findings through written or graphical formats.\nAbility to define problems, support root-cause analysis, and recommend corrective actions.\nAbility to work effectively in an environment with changing priorities and deadlines.\nAbility to wear required PPE, including safety glasses, gloves, and safety shoes, and work under a hood.\nMust have the ability to perform tasks requiring close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.\nWe are looking for a hands-on technician who enjoys solving problems, working with cross-functional teams, and improving manufacturing processes.
