The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating detailed 3D models, engineering drawings, and technical documentation while collaborating with cross-functional engineering and manufacturing teams. This role requires hands-on experience in mechanical design, prototype development, system integration, and design transfer to manufacturing.\nKey Responsibilities:\nDesign and develop 3D mechanical models, component drawings, and assembly drawings usingAutodesk Inventor.\nCreate, revise, and maintain detailed engineering drawings in accordance with company and industry standards.\nDesign electrical enclosures, vacuum system components, gas delivery systems, pneumatic assemblies, and sheet metal components.\nUtilizeAutodesk Inventor Tube & Pipe, Cable & Harness, and Sheet Metal environments for product development.\nManage engineering documentation and revision control usingAutodesk Vault and PLM systems.\nPrepare and present design review documentation to engineering teams and stakeholders.\nSupport prototype builds by sourcing and procuring prototype components.\nPerform system integration, prototype assembly, troubleshooting, validation, and functional testing.\nCollaborate with manufacturing teams to transfer designs into production and support product release activities.\nGenerate and maintain technical documentation, including assembly instructions, installation guides, service manuals, BOMs, and test procedures.\nApply GD&T principles and engineering standards to mechanical designs and manufacturing documentation.\nSelect appropriate materials and components to optimize product cost, manufacturability, reliability, and performance.\nWork closely with Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain teams throughout the product development lifecycle.\nParticipate in design reviews, engineering change requests (ECR/ECO), and continuous product improvement initiatives.\nEnsure compliance with applicable ASTM standards, company design practices, and engineering specifications.\nSupport root cause analysis, failure investigations, and implementation of corrective actions for product improvements.\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.\n5+ years of mechanical design experience usingAutodesk Inventor.\nStrong experience creating 3D CAD models, assemblies, and manufacturing drawings.\nExperience designing electromechanical systems, enclosures, vacuum systems, gas delivery systems, or pneumatic assemblies.\nHands-on experience supporting prototype builds, testing, and manufacturing transfer.\nKnowledge ofGD&T, mechanical tolerancing, and engineering drawing standards.\nStrong understanding of material selection and manufacturing processes.\nExcellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience withAutodesk Vault for document management.\nExperience withEnovia PLM.\nProficiency inInventor Tube & Pipe,Cable & Harness, andSheet Metal modules.\nFamiliarity with ASTM standards and engineering documentation practices.\nExperience supporting new product development (NPI) and production release.\nKnowledge of ERP/PLM workflows, BOM management, and engineering change
