Kildare\nReporting To: Maintenance Manager\nRole Summary:\nDawn Meats Kildare has a vacancy for an Electrical Apprentice to join our Maintenance team in Kildare town. The Apprentice will be trained in all aspects of the Electrical apprenticeship program. The apprenticeship consists of 7 phases: 3 off-the-job and 4 on-the-job. SOLAS and the Department of Education and Science have responsibility for providing the off-the-job training, whilst your on-the job training will take place on site with the Dawn Meats Kildare Maintenance team.\nResponsibilities\nSuccessful Candidates should have the following:\nAn interest in electrical & mechanical installations\nA Leaving Certificate or equivalent qualification to include a maths and a science or engineering subject as a minimum.\nPrevious work experience or completion of a pre-apprenticeship course would be viewed as an advantage.\nStrong technical aptitude.\nAbility to work as part of a successful team.\nAbility to follow maintenance planning.\nAbility to meet targets and project deadlines.\nQualifications\nThis is an excellent opportunity for an apprentice to gain experience in a fast passed and dynamic manufacturing environment.\nSkills & Attributes:\nExcellent communication Skills Ability to take ownership of queries/issues, bringing them to a successful conclusion.\nEnthusiastic attitude to the challenge of the role with a positive can-do approach to tasks.\nAbility to multi-task and work independently with minimal supervision.\nCandidate must be able to work with others in cross-functional role & environment.\nBe over 18 years of age \nBe permitted to live and work in Ireland without restriction.\nBe able to pass a colour vision and medical assessment.\nApplication requirements\nCandidates must:\nCandidates must have obtained the following minimum educational qualifications:\nJunior Certificate (Ordinary Level) Grade C or higher at Ordinary Level (or Grade D or higher at Higher Level) in the Junior Certificate (or equivalent) in 5 subjects. \nOR\nLeaving Certificate Grade D or higher at Ordinary Level in the Leaving Certificate (or equivalent) in one sitting in 5 subjects. \nPrevious experience of the following subjects would be an advantage but not essential: Mathematics, Technology, Technical
