Dawson currently has over $30.0B assets under management.\nThe Technology & Data team is seeking a Cybersecurity Intern starting in January 2027 at our Toronto office. The Technology & Data team is comprised of the following three functional pillars:\nData & Analytics: Enabling advanced analytics, through accurate data and automation to provide deep insights to the Firm.\nCybersecurity & Risk: Working across the firm to properly balance security with convenience, we believe that securing the firm requires a total team effort. Utilizing a risk-based approach and controls to protect the firm, mitigate risk and provide confidence that our assets are protected.\nInfrastructure & Systems: Providing the right sized tools, processes and platforms to support growth and collaboration while also creating space for personal development and mind share.\nThe intern will gain exposure to all three Technology & Data pillars during their internship period (with a focus on cybersecurity & risk). They will also be encouraged to actively participate in firm-wide team meetings, investment committee discussions and projects.\nWe are looking for self-motivated individuals ideally completing their senior year in 2027 (or 2028) with a degree in Business Administration, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, or Math and have a demonstrated track record of curricular and extracurricular excellence.\nJob Responsibilities:\nReview and update documentation for policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines.\nResearch and evaluate applications and services for use by the firm.\nProvide initial response to cybersecurity queries.\nAssist in cybersecurity investigations, as appropriate.\nAssist with vulnerability assessments and penetration testing activities as required.\nAssist with applications/tools including but not limited to SIEM, IPS, EDR, web proxy and DLP tools.\nAssist in periodic user access reviews.\nRecord and track IT security incidents.\nLiaise with technology partners and vendors who augment the firm's security practice.\nCollaborate with peers to grow and expand your cybersecurity knowledge and expertise.\nEducation/Certification:\nExceptional academic record.\nExtracurricular leadership.\nExpected graduation in 2027 (or 2028).\nWhat You Bring:\nPassionate about technology.\nCurious about cybersecurity.\nA reputable digital citizen.\nPossess strong interpersonal and organizational skills.\nUnderstanding of computer networking fundamentals.\nAble to assist ongoing projects in conjunction with daily operations.\nSelf-directed and be able to manage assigned tasks within the team.\nAble to methodically troubleshoot a technical issue.\nAble to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.\nKnowledge of capital markets, private equity, risk management and data concepts considered an asset.\nMeticulous attention to detail and accuracy in work output.\nAbility to meet deadlines and work well under pressure.\nWillingness to work across the organization in support of ad hoc projects as required.\nTeam player who enjoys a high-performance culture.\nInterest in the secondary private equity market.\nOur Commitment to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion\nAt Dawson Partners, we are committed to being a truly diverse firm and fostering an inclusive and supportive culture.
