Dawson currently has over $30.0B assets under management.\nThe Technology & Data team is seeking a Software Developer Intern starting in January 2027 with our Toronto office. As a Software Developer Intern, you'll own real features on production systems from your first week, whether that's a React interface used by investment professionals, a Python service powering portfolio analytics, or an AI-powered workflow that didn't exist before you built it. You'll also get a window into private equity that most tech interns never see, including firm-wide team meetings and investment committee discussions.\nJob Responsibilities:\nDesign and build Python services and APIs that power Dawson's platform, plus the React interfaces investment professionals use to access them.\nDesign retrieval pipelines, orchestrate multi-step agent workflows, and build the services that put LLMs into production against real financial data.\nOwn features from design to deployment, writing clean, well-tested code across the frontend, backend, and data layers of Dawson's platform.\nShip interactive dashboards and data visualizations that turn complex portfolio data into clear, actionable views for stakeholders.\nCollaborate directly with senior engineers, product managers, and investment team members, participating in code reviews, design discussions, and sprint planning.\nExperiment with emerging AI tools.
