You will perform advanced civil engineering analyses, develop practical and creative design solutions, and help move projects from concept through completion. Your work may include supporting project scopes, preparing engineering documents, evaluating design alternatives, and ensuring deliverables meet applicable standards, client expectations, and quality requirements.

As an integral member of the engineering team, you will collaborate with civil, structural, and other technical disciplines to deliver coordinated solutions that support successful project execution. Your knowledge, attention to detail, and commitment to technical excellence will have a direct impact on the quality and effectiveness of the work we provide to our clients.

As the Civil Engineer 4, here is the work you'll do:

  • Provide comprehensive technical guidance and expertise within the civil engineering discipline, ensuring all elements of assigned projects meet and exceed industry standards.
  • Lead the development and continuous assessment of project scopes, proactively identifying scope changes and evaluating their impacts on timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary design efforts seamlessly, fostering productive collaboration across various engineering specialties and client teams to ensure cohesive project outcomes.
  • Oversee quality assurance by meticulously reviewing design work and documentation to ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and constructibility requirements.
  • Assume responsibility for project deliverables by applying your Professional Engineer (PE) certification to stamp necessary project documents, demonstrating accountability and professional integrity.
  • Manage the administrative and supervisory aspects of assigned projects, including the formulation of staffing plans, budget oversight, and schedule adherence to guarantee successful project completion.
  • Mentor and support the growth of junior engineers and project team members, promoting a culture of knowledge sharing, professional development, and high performance.
  • This multifaceted role requires an individual who is both detail-oriented and visionary, capable of balancing technical precision with strategic project management to deliver exceptional engineering solutions.

This role is for you if you have these skills:

  • Proven leadership abilities with experience supervising diverse teams, motivating individuals, and driving projects to successful completion.
  • Strong analytical skills supported by proficiency in modern engineering software and tools used for design, modeling, and project management.
  • Adaptability and resilience to navigate changing project environments and emerging challenges with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.

And if you have these qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution or a qualification deemed acceptable by the State Board of Engineers for professional engineer licensure. A Master’s degree in Civil Engineering is highly preferred.
  • Minimum of 12 years of progressively responsible experience in civil engineering, demonstrating expertise in project execution, engineering best practices, and leadership within the field.
  • Current Professional Engineer (PE) license is required, underscoring your commitment to professional standards and ethical engineering practices.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing medium-sized projects, including budgetary oversight, scheduling, and staff management.
  • Familiarity with the latest codes, regulations, and industry trends relevant to civil engineering to ensure compliance and innovation.
