Under general supervision, you will take a lead role in crafting detailed structural analyses and designs, encompassing foundations, concrete and steel frameworks, and addressing complex challenges associated with dynamic and rotating equipment installations. Your contributions will extend to preparing exhaustive engineering criteria and specifications that ensure safety, functionality, and compliance with industry standards.

This position not only demands technical proficiency but also offers the opportunity to influence project execution through discipline management including scope development, budget oversight, scheduling, and mentoring of assigned staff. • Provide subject-matter expertise and technical leadership for assigned projects by thoroughly reviewing vendor documentation, shop drawings, and ensuring alignment with design intents and engineering standards.
  • Administer and track project scope and scheduling within your discipline to guarantee timely delivery and budget compliance, promptly identifying deviations and proposing corrective actions.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary design efforts by collaborating closely with other engineering teams, subcontractors, construction managers, and client representatives to ensure seamless integration and effective communication throughout project phases.
  • Oversee quality assurance of design documentation, ensuring all deliverables meet applicable codes, standards, and are presented clearly and logically to support construction feasibility.
  • Authenticate project deliverables by stamping necessary documents as a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or Structural Engineer (SE), demonstrating accountability and professional integrity.

Beyond these tasks, you will contribute to continuous improvement by participating in developing design methodologies, mentoring junior engineers, and supporting business development activities that align with the company’s strategic goals.

This role is for you if you have these skills:

  • Profound experience in managing and executing engineering projects, demonstrating mastery in adhering to procedures and regulatory frameworks from ACI, AISC, IBC, and ASCE standards.
  • Proven leadership abilities with the capacity to supervise cross-functional teams, manage multiple concurrent projects in solar energy, industrial facilities, and power plant domains effectively.
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills enabling efficient progression of projects from concept through completion, including design, procurement, and construction stages.
  • Strong foundational knowledge and practical application of structural engineering principles, especially relating to rigging engineering, enhancing project safety and innovation.
  • Outstanding communicator with refined verbal and written skills capable of articulating complex engineering concepts clearly and collaborating effectively across various stakeholders.
  • Technical proficiency with Microsoft Office and structural analysis software programs such as RISA and Staad.Pro; experience with AutoCAD and Bluebeam for design documentation and reviews; familiarity with Revit and Lpile software is advantageous, reflecting adaptability to evolving digital tools.
  • We encourage individuals who are driven to produce engineering excellence, foster teamwork, and embrace continuous learning to thrive within this role.

And if you have these qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering accredited by ABET with a focus on structural engineering is required, ensuring a strong academic foundation aligned with industry standards.
  • A Master of Science degree in Structural Engineering is preferred, reflecting advanced technical expertise and dedication to professional development.
  • A minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in structural engineering, encompassing design, analysis, and project management within relevant industrial sectors.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) or Structural Engineer (SE) licensure is highly desirable to demonstrate recognized competency and adherence to ethical engineering practices.
  • Ongoing commitment to professional development through certifications, training, or participation in industry groups that keep skills current with emerging trends and regulatory updates.
  • Ideal candidates will also have a track record of successful project delivery and the ability to adapt knowledge to the practical challenges presented by large-scale infrastructure and energy-oriented projects.
