The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring the mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and life safety systems function according to design specifications and meet the performance standards required for hyperscale or enterprise-level data centers.\nKey Responsibilities:\nCommissioning Execution:Plan, coordinate, and execute the commissioning of electrical, mechanical, BMS, and other critical systems.\nReview design documents, submittals, and specifications to ensure compliance with project requirements.\nLead and document functional performance tests, integrated systems testing, and acceptance criteria.\n\nProject Coordination:Collaborate with construction teams, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure systems are installed and commissioned on schedule.\nAttend project meetings and interface with stakeholders including design engineers, construction managers, and client representatives.\n\n Documentation & Reporting:Prepare commissioning plans, scripts, and test procedures in accordance with industry standards (ASHRAE, Uptime Institute, etc.).\nGenerate detailed commissioning reports, punch lists, and close-out documents.\nMaintain accurate logs of all commissioning activities and issues for resolution.\n\nQuality & Compliance:Ensure compliance with local codes, safety standards, and company policies.\nIdentify and mitigate risks during the commissioning process.\n\n Systems Expertise (Examples):Electrical: UPS, switchgear, transformers, generators, PDUs.\nMechanical: CRAC/CRAH units, chillers, cooling towers, pumps, HVAC controls.\nControls: BMS, EPMS, SCADA systems.\n\nQualifications:\n Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or relevant Engineering discipline. (Relevant certifications or trade qualifications considered for candidates with significant experience.)\n Experience:3-7 years of commissioning experience in data center or mission-critical environments.\nFamiliarity with commissioning standards and best practices (ASHRAE, Uptime Institute Tier Guidelines, LEED, etc.)\n\n Certifications (preferred):Commissioning Process Management Professional (CPMP)\nCertified Commissioning Professional (CCP)\nPMP or other project management certifications\n\n Technical Skills:Proficient in reading technical drawings, specifications, and control schematics.\nExperience using commissioning tools and software (CxAlloy, Bluebeam, etc.)\n\n Soft Skills:Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking.\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills.\nAbility to work independently and within a cross-functional team environment.\n\nDayOne is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
