What you’lldo

As a Commissioning Manager you areresponsible forplanning, coordinating, and executingcommissioning activities for new data centerprojects in Finland. This role ensures that critical building systems are thoroughly tested, integrated, and handed over to Operations in full compliance with the project design, technical standards, Finnish regulations, and safety requirements.

You will workclosely with internal engineering teams, contractors, vendors, and operations personnel to ensure reliable, efficient, and high-quality delivery of all MEP and control systems.

Key responsibilities include

• Commissioning Planning & Coordination

• Supportingdevelopment of the Commissioning Plan, schedule, and testing protocols.

• Coordinatingcommissioning activities with Project Management, Construction, Vendors, and Operations, ensuring alignment with project specifications, Uptime/Tier requirements, and Finnish/EU standards.

• Assistingwith planning FAT, SAT, functional testing, and Integrated Systems Testing (IST).

• Technical Execution

• Identifyingissues, escalatingdeviations, and supportingroot-cause analysis and corrective actions.

• Maintainingaccuratecommissioning logs, punch lists, and test documentation.

• Executingand witnessingcommissioning tests across electrical, mechanical, controls, fire safety, and security systems, including:

• HV/MV/LV distribution, UPS, generators, PDUs, ATS/STS, Chillers, CRAC/CRAH, pumps, cooling towers, hydronic systems.

• BMS/EPMS/BAS controls and SOO validation.

• Fire detection and suppression systems.

• Access control, CCTV, ICT/structured cabling readiness.

• Quality, Compliance & Safety

• Ensuringcommissioning activities comply withFinnish regulatory requirements, SFS/EN standards, and environmental/safety rules.

• SupportingQA/QC processes to ensure equipment and systems meet design intent.

• Adheringstrictly to Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and safe energization practices, collaborating with HSE and project teams to maintaina safe, zero-harm environment.

• Documentation & Handover

• Preparingand maintainingcommissioning documentation including test forms, reports, red-line drawings, and O&M inputs; assistin assembling the final Commissioning Turnover Package.

• Participatingin formal handover meetings with Operations and Customers and support training activities to ensure Operations teams understand system functionality.

What We’reLooking For

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, or equivalent

• Multipleyears of experienceand strong understanding ofcommissioning, installation, or operations of MEP systemsideally in data centers, energy, industrial, or mission-critical facilities.

• Experience with testing and commissioning electrical, mechanical, controls, or fire safety systems.

• Familiarity with Finnish electrical and safety standards (SFS/EN)

• Ability to read and interpret SLDs, P&IDs, schematics, and technical drawings.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple, competingpriorities in a face-paced environment.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Proactive, solutions-oriented mindsetand a collaborativeworking style.

• Solid problem-solving skills with a practical, solutions-driven approach.

• Ability to work on-site at the construction location during key commissioning phases

• Ability to travel within Finland or Europeas necessary.

• Fluency in English
