This role ensures that critical building systems are thoroughly tested, integrated, and handed over to Operations in full compliance with the project design, technical standards, Finnish regulations, and safety requirements.\nYou will workclosely with internal engineering teams, contractors, vendors, and operations personnel to ensure reliable, efficient, and high-quality delivery of all MEP and control systems.\nKey responsibilities include\nCommissioning Planning & Coordination\n\nSupportingdevelopment of the Commissioning Plan, schedule, and testing protocols.\n\nCoordinatingcommissioning activities with Project Management, Construction, Vendors, and Operations, ensuring alignment with project specifications, Uptime/Tier requirements, and Finnish/EU standards.\n\nAssistingwith planning FAT, SAT, functional testing, and Integrated Systems Testing (IST).\n\nTechnical Execution\n\nIdentifyingissues, escalatingdeviations, and supportingroot-cause analysis and corrective actions.\n\nMaintainingaccuratecommissioning logs, punch lists, and test documentation.\n\nExecutingand witnessingcommissioning tests across electrical, mechanical, controls, fire safety, and security systems, including:\n\nHV/MV/LV distribution, UPS, generators, PDUs, ATS/STS, Chillers, CRAC/CRAH, pumps, cooling towers, hydronic systems.\n\nBMS/EPMS/BAS controls and SOO validation.\n\nFire detection and suppression systems.\n\nAccess control, CCTV, ICT/structured cabling readiness.\n\nQuality, Compliance & Safety\n\nEnsuringcommissioning activities comply withFinnish regulatory requirements, SFS/EN standards, and environmental/safety rules.\n\nSupportingQA/QC processes to ensure equipment and systems meet design intent.\n\nAdheringstrictly to Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and safe energization practices, collaborating with HSE and project teams to maintaina safe, zero-harm environment.\n\nDocumentation & Handover\n\nPreparingand maintainingcommissioning documentation including test forms, reports, red-line drawings, and O&M inputs; assistin assembling the final Commissioning Turnover Package.\n\nParticipatingin formal handover meetings with Operations and Customers and support training activities to ensure Operations teams understand system functionality.\n\nWhat We’reLooking For \nBachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, or equivalent\n\nMultipleyears of experienceand strong understanding ofcommissioning, installation, or operations of MEP systemsideally in data centers, energy, industrial, or mission-critical facilities.\n\nExperience with testing and commissioning electrical, mechanical, controls, or fire safety systems.\n\nFamiliarity with Finnish electrical and safety standards (SFS/EN)\n\nAbility to read and interpret SLDs, P&IDs, schematics, and technical drawings.\n\nAbility to work independently and manage multiple, competingpriorities in a face-paced environment.\n\nExcellent communication and stakeholder management skills.\n\nProactive, solutions-oriented mindsetand a collaborativeworking style.\n\nSolid problem-solving skills with a practical, solutions-driven approach.\n\nAbility to work on-site at the construction location during key commissioning phases\n\nAbility to travel within Finland or Europeas necessary.\n\nFluency in English\n\nWhy join DayOne?\nBe part of a company scaling fast in a booming industry.\n\nWork on an international stage with global leaders.\n\nShape your career in a culture that values curiosity, agility, and bold thinking.\n\nIf you'reready to grow with one of the fastest-moving companies in the data centerindustry, apply now and be part of our global journey.\nDayOne is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
