This role requires expertise in managing mechanical systems, coordinating with site teams and contractors, and maintaining effective communication with all stakeholders to meet project objectives.\nRESPONSIBILITIES\nProject Management & Leadership\nOversee the entire Mechanical construction lifecycle, including planning, execution, and handover phases.\nCoordinate with site and contractor teams to ensure timely completion of Mechanical project milestones.\nIdentify and mitigate project risks, ensuring clear communication of updates on schedules, budgets, and technical issues to stakeholders.\nContract & Financial Management\nLead M&E-specific contract negotiations and oversee amendments with architects, consultants, and subcontractors.\nEvaluate Mechanical construction methods for cost-effectiveness, monitor budget adherence, and produce regular progress and financial reports.\nStakeholder & Contractor Relations\nManage relationships with key stakeholders, including contractors, consultants, and relevant authorities, ensuring adherence to project standards.\nProvide support to local teams on customer discussions regarding project progress and any technical challenges.\nDesign & Systems Coordination\nCollaborate closely with external consultants to ensure effective design and construction of Mechanical systems within data centers, covering HVAC, electrical distribution, fire protection, and other critical infrastructure.\nEnsure the successful handover of Mechanical systems to operational teams, addressing any outstanding issues or deficiencies.\nSafety & Compliance\nLead safety initiatives on-site, ensuring full compliance with regulations and industry standards.\nOversee adherence to all relevant permitting and government authority requirements for projects.\nContinuous Improvement & Quality Assurance\nPromote a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration within the project team.\nImplement advanced project management and quality control techniques to optimize project outcomes.\nQUALIFICATIONS\n10+ years of experience in construction project management within the Mechanical or engineering field; additional experience in data center projects is highly preferred.\nProven experience in delivering large-scale projects, with strong knowledge of HVAC, power systems, and fire protection.\nExpertise in Mechanical systems, local authority approval processes, and testing and commissioning of critical infrastructure in data centers, including Integrated Systems Testing (IST).\nSolid understanding of CAPEX planning, cost estimation, and total cost of ownership (TCO) in data centers.\nEngineering degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related field.\nProficiency in project management tools, MS Project, and MS Office, with excellent organizational and time-management skills.\nDemonstrates initiative, collaboration, and resilience under pressure.\nFluent in English (written and spoken); additional languages in the APAC region are advantageous.\nDayOne is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
