This role sits at the intersection of government engagement, external relations, institutional partnerships and corporate responsibility, ensuring DayOne is consistently understood and positioned by policymakers, industry bodies and key stakeholders as a credible, long-term partner in digital infrastructure.\nWorking closely with country GMs, local GR, BD, agencies and internal functions, this role provides HQ-level oversight, stakeholder mapping, policy and reputation intelligence, and project leadership for priority cross-market initiatives. It is a high-exposure, multi-market role that combines strategic thinking with disciplined execution.\nKey Responsibilities\nStakeholder Strategy & Mapping\nDevelop and maintain a structured, HQ-level view of priority external stakeholders across all markets, including government agencies, economic development bodies, regulators, industry associations, institutional partners and relevant influencers.\n\nDefine engagement priorities and sequences to support DayOne’s long-term positioning.\n\nMulti-Market Policy & Public-Sector Intelligence\nConsolidate policy trends, regulatory developments and public-sector sentiment across markets.\n\nTranslate fragmented local inputs into clear, actionable insights and recommendations for senior leadership.\n\nExternal Relations & Ecosystem Engagement\nManage and strengthen DayOne’s relationships with industry platforms, research institutions, economic agencies, strategic partners and public-sector-adjacent organisations.\n\nEnsure DayOne has the right presence, representation and narrative in influential forums.\n\nCross-Market Strategic Projects\nLead and coordinate high-priority external initiatives such as market-entry engagements, institutional partnerships, government or industry delegations and strategic MoUs.\n\nProvide structured project management across functions and markets to ensure clarity and alignment.\n\nCorporate Positioning for Public-Sector Engagement\nPrepare high-quality briefings, talking points and executive materials for leadership engagements with governments, agencies and institutional partners.\n\nCorporate Responsibility & Community Initiatives\nShape and oversee a focused set of CSR or community programs that support DayOne’s reputation and stakeholder relationships.\n\nEnsure initiatives are credible, strategic and aligned with business priorities.\n\nPublic-Sector Reputation & Issue Monitoring\nTrack policy debates, regulatory signals and emerging external risks that may affect DayOne.\n\nCoordinate cross-functional responses when issues span jurisdictions.\n\nInternal Alignment on External Affairs\nEnsure HQ, country teams and internal functions maintain a unified understanding of key external stakeholders, policy developments and engagement plans.\n\nHelp define escalation paths and decision frameworks for multi-market external issues.\n\nRequirements\n5-8 years experience in corporate affairs, external relations, public policy, government engagement or related fields\n\nDemonstrated ability to work with government bodies, regulators, economic agencies or institutional partners\n\nStrong capability in synthesising complex external issues into clear, structured insights for senior leaders\n\nExcellent English writing and verbal communication skills, especially for executive-level materials\n\nProven cross-functional project management experience, ideally across multiple markets\n\nAbility to exercise judgment, discretion and stakeholder maturity in high-exposure environments\n\nExperience in data centres, infrastructure, energy or technology sectors is an advantage\n\nDayOne is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
