Trusted by leading hyperscalers and businesses, the company engineers, builds, and operates high-capacity, AI-ready campuses with speed, scale, and reliability.\nRESPONSIBILITIES\nLeadership and Management:Lead, mentor, and develop the mechanical, electrical, and BMS engineering teams to ensure high performance and professional growth.\nOversee the 24/7 shift team, ensuring effective communication and coordination to maintain continuous operations.\n\n Operational Excellence:\nEnsure the efficient and reliable operation of all critical systems, including HVAC, electrical distribution, generators, UPS, and BMS.\nDevelop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for maintenance and emergency response.\nMonitor system performance and implement improvements to enhance reliability and efficiency.\n SLA Compliance:\nEnsure all operations and maintenance activities are conducted in compliance with SLAs.\nDevelop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure compliance and performance.\nAddress and resolve any issues that could impact SLA compliance promptly.\nProject Management:\nManage and oversee critical infrastructure projects, including upgrades, expansions, and maintenance.\nCoordinate with internal teams and external contractors to ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and budget.\nSafety and Compliance:\nEnsure all operations adhere to safety protocols and regulatory standards.\nConduct regular safety audits and drills to ensure team readiness for emergency situations.\nMaintain documentation and records in compliance with regulatory and company requirements.\nBudget Management:\nDevelop and manage the budget for the critical services department.\nMonitor expenditures and implement cost-saving measures without compromising service quality.\nContinuous Improvement:\nFoster a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging innovation and process enhancements.\nStay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to implement best practices.\nCANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:\nBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.\nMinimum of 7-10 years of experience in data centre operations or a similar critical infrastructure environment, with at least 3-5 years in a managerial role.\nProven experience in managing multidisciplinary engineering teams.\nStrong knowledge of HVAC, electrical systems, generators, UPS, and BMS.\nExcellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.\nAbility to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving abilities.\nFamiliarity with industry standards and regulatory requirements.\nCertification in data centre management (e.g., CDCP, CDCS) is a plus.\nDayOne is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
