This role ensures full compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations while promoting a strong safety culture across the organization.\nKey Responsibilities:\nDevelop and execute strategic EHS plans, goals, and policies across all construction sites.\n\nDevelop and implement EHS standards and minimum requirements for projects.\n\nDevelop and implement EHS plans for projects.\n\nLead the implementation of proactive safety programs that reduce incidents, injuries, and near-misses.\n\nEnsure compliance with OSHA, EPA, MOM, and all applicable regulations and industry standards.\n\nPlan, conduct, and oversee regular job site inspections, audits, and risk assessments aligned with ISO standards and DayOne requirements.\n\nPartner with Project Managers, Project Directors, and Site Superintendents to embed safety best practices from preconstruction through project closeout.\n\nLead incident investigations and root cause analysis and oversee corrective action plans and shared lessons learned.\n\nDevelop and manage EHS training programs and certifications for all staff and subcontractors.\n\nMaintain and analyze safety metrics and KPIs, and report findings to senior leadership.\n\nOversee environmental compliance including hazardous materials, waste disposal, and stormwater management aligned with DayOne ESG and ISO 14001 requirements.\n\nChampion a culture of safety leadership, accountability, and drive continuous improvement.\n\nDevelop and maintain crisis management and emergency response plans for all construction projects.\n\nCoordinate drills and training for emergency preparedness, including fire, medical, and natural disaster scenarios.\n\nServe as the primary point of contact during EHS-related emergencies and ensure timely communication with stakeholders.\n\nCollaborate with local authorities and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with emergency protocols.\n\nQualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Construction Management, or a related field.\n\n10+ years of progressive EHS leadership experience in the construction industry.\n\nCertified Safety Professional (CSP), CHST, or similar designation preferred.\n\nIn-depth knowledge of OSHA standards, EPA regulations, and construction safety best practices.\n\nStrong leadership, communication, and team-building skills.\n\nAbility to travel to multiple job sites across regions.\n\nExperience with ISO 14001and ISO 45001 or other safety management systems.\n\nDayOne is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
