This is more than a job - it’s an opportunity to be a key contributor to our dynamic team and help shape the future of global data infrastructure.\nIf you're passionate about innovation, technology, and growth, we invite you to be part of DayOne’snext chapter.\nJob Summary:\nThe Construction Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing EHS management systems, policies, and technical standards to ensure full compliance with applicable safety, health, and environmental regulations throughout construction activities.\nThis role requires strong leadership and extensive technical expertise to proactively identify hazards, assess risks, and implement effective control measures across high-risk activities such as lifting operations, working at height, electrical works, and energy isolation, to ensure a safe and compliant working environment.\nKey Responsibilities:\nTechnical Program Management:\nDevelop, implement, and maintain the Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Management System in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, company standards, and client requirements. Ensure all construction activities are executed in accordance with EHS requirements and industry best practices.\n\nRegulatory Compliance:\nMaintain up-to-date knowledge of applicable local and international EHS regulations and standards, ensuring all project policies, procedures, and practices are aligned with these regulatory requirements.\n\nRisk Assessment and Mitigation:\nConduct comprehensive project risk assessments and maintain a project risk register to identify, evaluate, and control potential safety, health, and environmental risks. Develop and implement effective mitigation measures to eliminate or reduce identified risks and enhance overall project safety and quality.\n\nAudit and Inspection Leadership:\nPlan, lead, and participate in internal EHS audits, site inspections, and regulatory inspections. Analyze audit findings and ensure timely implementation and closure of corrective and preventive actions. Provide technical EHS leadership and guidance for high-risk construction activities, including lifting operations, working at height, electrical works, hot work, and energy isolation.\n\nTraining and Communication:\nDevelop and deliver EHS induction programs, toolbox talks, and specialized training for employees, contractors, and management. Act as a technical subject matter expert and effectively communicate EHS expectations, requirements, and performance across the project.\n\nIncident Management:\nLead and manage investigations of incidents, near-misses, and unsafe conditions, including root cause analysis and implementation of corrective and preventive actions to prevent recurrence.\n\nStakeholder Coordination:\nCoordinate and collaborate with project teams, contractors, and relevant external authorities on all EHS-related matters to ensure alignment, compliance, and effective implementation of EHS programs.\n\nExperience, skills and q ualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.\n\nMinimum of 6 years of relevant experience in an Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) role, preferably within construction, oil and gas, or infrastructure projects.\n\nRelevant EHS related certifications (EU-OSHA, NEBOSH, CESAT, IOSH)\n\nEffective communication, coordination, and leadership skills.\n\nAbility to work on-site and travel as needed.\n\nPrevious experience working in fast growing, international environments.\n\nFluent in English\n\nExperience in data centers or other critical infrastructures is considered as a benefit\n\nDayOneis proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
