The processes, the systems, the ways of working: a significant amount of it still needs to be built by the people in these roles.\nAbout The Role\nThe Senior Tax Manager is responsible for leading and managing tax workstreams relating to new market entry, new projects, joint venture, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), divestments, and corporate restructuring initiatives across multiple jurisdictions in Asia, Europe and South America The role focuses on tax due diligence, transaction execution, restructuring implementation, and post-deal integration, ensuring tax risks are identified, managed, and appropriately documented in accordance with applicable tax laws and regulatory requirements.\n1. New Market Entry, New Projects, Joint ventures and Merger & Acquisition Tax Due Diligence & Post Deal Integration\nLead and manage tax due diligence processes across multiple jurisdictions in Asia, Europe and Latin America.\nProvide technical tax input on new market entries, new projects and legal entities set up, acquisitions, disposals, and investment transactions, including SPA review\nWork out and implement mitigation plans of tax risks and exposures identified during due diligence, in the post deal integration phase.\nMaintain documentation of post-transaction tax positions and assumptions\n2. Corporate Structuring\nSupport expansion plans and advise most appropriate legal structure in new markets/ventures for tax optimization purposes.\nLead tax workstreams for group structuring exercises\nEvaluate all tax implications arising from asset transfers, share transfers, and business organizations.\nSupport review of transaction documents to ensure tax positions are appropriately reflected and protected\nCoordinate with legal and finance teams to ensure seamless execution of structuring and/or post deal integration initiatives\nRequirements\nDegree in Accounting, Finance, Tax, or Law\nMinimum 10 years of relevant experience in deal advisory with regional or global exposure\nStrong analytical capability with ability to assess tax risks and implications across jurisdictions\nAbility to translate complex technical tax concepts into practical business and deal insights\nStrong project management skills and ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams and strong communication skills for cross-functional projects\nQualifications\nProfessional qualification (e.g. CPA, ACCA, CTA or equivalent) preferred\nWhy DayOne?\nIf you've spent your career executing inside a function someone else built, this is a different kind of job.
