develop and implement plans to maximize sales and meet or exceed goals and objectives. \nControl shrink, expenses and payroll. \nMonitor appropriate merchandise stock levels, merchandise adjacencies and presentations; signing, and assortment in all departments; ensure selling floor is adequately stocked. \nResponsible for all store security issues including the store alarm system monitoring, arming, and maintenance.\nMaintain a clean, neat store, including exterior, at all times.\nComparison shop and report results; share information with director and make appropriate price adjustments. \nReview department/store trends and recommend and initiate changes for maximizing goals and objectives. \nBe an active member of a community civic group and/or a jewelry related organization.\nEnsure compliance with all policies and procedures through regular store management and staff meetings, store walk-through and audits, etc. \nRecruit, Interview, and hire employees according to Hiring Procedures.\nContinually evaluate, react to, and document performance issues and actively recruit management candidates. \nTrain and develop store management in all aspects of the business; This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.\nPOSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK\nThis is a full-time position, and required hours of work and days are a minimum of 8 hours per day, 5 days per week. This position regularly requires long hours, nights, and frequent weekend work.\nTRAVEL\nSome travel is required. Examples: Managers Meetings, training seminars, company events.\nREQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE\nHigh school diploma or GED.\nAt least 5 years of experience in retail store.\nAt least 2 years in supervisory or lead role.\nPREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE\nBachelor’s Degree in a Business related field of study.\nExperience specifically managing a staff of retail workers.\nJewelry Certification trained; GIA, JA, DCA, etc.\nAAP/EEO STATEMENT\nH.
