This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with data, improving processes, and making a visible impact in a fast-paced business.\nWhat You'll Do\nAudit pricing data to ensure it is complete, accurate, and aligned with established business requirements.\nCreate, maintain, and improve reports, trackers, and dashboards that support team performance and operational decision-making.\nMonitor key metrics, identify trends or potential issues, and communicate meaningful findings to leadership and partner teams.\nServe as a subject matter resource for escalated questions and issues, researching root causes and coordinating resolution with the appropriate teams.\nDocument and maintain key accounting operations processes to support consistency, training, and continuous improvement.\nCollaborate with departments across the organization to gather information, resolve issues, and build strong working relationships.\nAttend and actively contribute to regularly scheduled team meetings.\nProvide project and administrative support to the Accounting Operations Manager as needed.\nIdentify opportunities to improve processes, reporting quality, accuracy, and efficiency.\nTake on additional responsibilities and special projects in support of team and business priorities\nQualifications\nAssociate’s or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, analytics, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience will also be considered.\nExperience in accounting operations, billing, reporting, data analysis, customer account maintenance, or office operations.\nExperience working with ERP, billing, pricing, reporting, or customer-information systems.\nExperience in transportation, logistics, freight, or related industries is a plus, but not required.\nWhat We're Looking For\nStrong attention to detail, accuracy, and follow-through.\nAnalytical and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to turn data into clear, actionable information.\nExperience creating or maintaining reports, trackers, dashboards, or performance metrics.\nStrong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel; experience with reporting or dashboard tools is a plus.\nClear, professional written and verbal communication skills.\nAbility to organize competing priorities and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.\nA collaborative approach and the ability to build productive relationships across departments.\nConfidence using sound judgment to research and help resolve escalated operational issues.\nAbility to handle sensitive financial, operational, and customer information with discretion.\nWhy Dayton Freight\nThe Accounting Operations Coordinator helps ensure the team has accurate data, useful reporting, reliable processes, and timely support for complex issues.
