See more about our benefits and why DG is a great place to work below.\nThe Composite Assembler is responsible for fabricating, assembling, repairing, and finishing composite components used in aerospace applications. This hands-on role works with materials such as fiberglass, epoxy, resin, and foam to perform bonding, drilling, riveting, fitting, sanding, and surface preparation in accordance with blueprints, work instructions, and quality standards. The ideal candidate has prior composites or fiberglass experience, is comfortable using hand and pneumatic tools, and brings strong attention to detail in a precision manufacturing environment.\nKey Responsibilities:\n Perform composite part repairs, surface prep, and bonded assemblies\nDrill, rivet, and fit composite and metal components using hand and power tools\nWork with epoxy, resin, foam, fiberglass, and other aerospace-grade materials\nFollow work instructions and blueprints to ensure parts meet precise fit and quality standards\nFit parts into molds, fixtures, or assemblies and apply bonding techniques as needed\nDeflash, sand, and finish components to tight tolerances\nTrack material usage and maintain basic production records\nFollow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area\nAssist with general shop tasks and support production as needed\nFollows company workmanship and quality standards.\nOther assigned tasks by management.\nFollows all DG safety procedures as per company policies and per the Facility Engineer/Safety Director.\n\n Required Qualifications: \nHigh school diploma or GED\nAt least 1 year of experience in manufacturing or working directly with composites/fiberglass materials\nExperience with drilling and riveting, including use of rivet guns and rivet tools\nAbility to read and interpret blueprints and technical instructions\nProficiency with hand and pneumatic tools\nStrong hand-eye coordination and attention to detail\nAbility to lift, carry, and push up to 25 lbs\nAbility to stand for extended periods and use required PPE (respirators, gloves, goggles, etc.)\nGood verbal and written communication skills in English\nReliable attendance with ability to work independently or as part of a team\nU.S. person status required in accordance with ITAR (U.S. Citizen, Permanent Resident, or Protected Individual)\n Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English\nPre-Employment Requirements:\nAll employment offers are contingent upon successful completion of a background check and drug screen, in accordance with company policy and applicable law.\nWhy You'll Love Working Here\nWe are a multi-generational team with members representing a diversity of cultures, educational backgrounds, experience levels and ideas all 'making it happen' from one location in beautiful, coastal South Florida.
