See more about our benefits and why DG is a great place to work below.\nThe Quality Engineer plays a key role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and continuous improvement of DG’s aerospace products and manufacturing processes. This position works closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, Operations, and other cross-functional teams to develop and maintain effective quality controls, analyze production and inspection data, resolve quality issues, and drive corrective and preventive actions. The ideal candidate brings strong hands-on manufacturing experience, a practical problem-solving mindset, and the ability to apply quality tools such as FMEA, SPC, MSA, RCCA, and process capability analysis in a fast-paced aerospace manufacturing environment.\nResponsibilities:\nDevelop and maintain quality plans, control plans, inspection plans, and sampling plans for new and existing products.\nSupport process validation, qualification, APQP, PPAP, production ramp-ups, and new product/process releases.\nLead PFMEA/FMEA activities and implement SPC, process capability studies, and MSA to ensure effective process and measurement controls.\nAnalyze quality data, inspection results, scrap, rework, and trends to identify problems and drive process improvements.\nProvide hands-on shop floor support, including Gemba activities and resolution of process, capability, tolerancing, and material-related quality issues.\nLead RCCA activities using 8D, 5-Why, Fishbone, and other problem-solving techniques; ensure corrective actions are implemented and effective.\nLead and coordinate MRB activities and support internal and external audits.\nEvaluate quality impacts of engineering and process changes and maintain appropriate quality documentation.\nPartner cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Engineering, Sales, Purchasing, and Operations to resolve quality issues and support continuous improvement.\nPerform responsibilities in accordance with the Quality Management System, AS9100, and applicable company policies and procedures.\nPerform additional tasks assigned by management.\nComply with all DG safety procedures and policies as directed by the Facility Engineer/Safety Director\nMinimum Qualifications:\nBachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or a related Engineering field.\nMinimum 5 years of experience as a Quality Engineer in a manufacturing environment.\nStrong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, synthesize, and analyze data to develop actionable conclusions and recommendations.\nProficiency in quality management software and tools.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to collaborate across departments and levels of the organization.\nWillingness and ability to learn new procedures and processesStrong written and verbal communication skills in English\nPreferred Qualifications (Nice to Have, Not Required):\nCertified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Lean Six Sigma Certification.\nFamiliarity with regulatory compliance requirements (e.g., FAA, EASA).\nPrevious hands-on experience implementing and maintaining AS9100-compliant processes in an aerospace manufacturing environment.\nDirect experience with Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA).\nProven track record of establishing and tracking quality-related KPIs.\nAbility to mentor and train team members on quality processes and tools.\nPre-Employment Requirements:\nAll employment offers are contingent upon successful completion of a background check and drug screen, in accordance with company policy and applicable law.\nWhy You'll Love Working Here:\nWe are a multi-generational team with members representing a diversity of cultures, educational backgrounds, experience levels and ideas all 'making it happen' from one location in beautiful, coastal South Florida.
