They must demonstrate a level of responsibility taken on projects from details design through to supervision of work on site with a knowledge of building control regulations and procedures.\nKey roles and responsibilities:\nReporting to a Director/Team Leader, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following :--\nPreparing preliminary scheme design options for discussion and approval.\n\nProducing structural design calculations and drawings to Eurocodes and Irish Building Regulations.\n\nReviewing drawings and designs from other members of the design team and external consultants.\n\nSite inspections involving inspecting steel reinforcement prior to concrete pour and general workmanship on site.\n\nDaily problem solving in order to produce safe, economical, and structurally viable design solutions.\n\nLiaising with clients, design team and contractors and supporting the growth and the development of the Team.\n\nPerform other duties as required.\n\nDesired qualifications and requirements:\nMinimum of 3rd level qualification in Civil or Structural engineering.\n\nPreferably chartered or near chartered with a minimum of 2-5 years’ experience.\n\nAdvanced knowledge and experience using AutoCAD.\n\nHands-on experience using several construction methods and materials.\n\nGreat analytical and mathematical skills to conduct accurate calculations.\n\nExcellent project management skills.\n\nStrong work ethic and dedicated to tasks with a positive attitude.\n\nFlexible approach and the ability to adapt to a new and evolving environment.\n\nWhat we offer:\nSignificant investment in your career development.\n\nCompetitive market salary.\n\nPension matched up to 5% of salary.\n\nGenerous annual leave allowance (basic allowance 23 days).\n\nAdditional service recognition leave.\n\nHybrid working.\n\nTax saver scheme & bike to work scheme.\n\nAnnual professional institution subscription paid.\n\nWellbeing support including access to an independent Employee Assistance Scheme.\n\nA working culture that is diverse, inclusive and looks after your wellness at work.\n\nCompany social committee which organises many social events throughout the year.\n\nContinuous technical learning paths through a wide range of activities, knowledge sharing platforms, seminars and workshops, lunch and learn presentations and other events that can support your career growth.\n\nCPD Accreditation\nWe are a certified CPD Accredited Employer with Engineers Ireland (EI) , recognising that the company can only grow and develop through its people.
