This position will perform associate level general litigation work and will work on cases which include defending employment-related claims as well as commercial disputes. The position is based in our Louisville, Kentucky office.\nJOB DUTIES\nDraft and prepare legal briefs and pleadings.\nWork with clients in the preparation of discovery responses.\nPrepare and argue motions.\nPerform legal research and writing. \nParticipate in depositions.\nPrepare trial materials and assist at pretrial, trial, and post-trial proceedings.\nMulti-task, meet deadlines, prioritize, and work in a fast-paced environment.\nIndependently manage cases.\nHandle various aspects of litigation, such as motion hearings, meditations, and depositions. \nRespond to administrative charges.\nCollaborate with partners and other associates to develop and implement case strategy.\nOther duties as assigned.\nQUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS\n3-5 or more years of experience practicing civil litigation in state and federal courts.\nExcellent drafting, writing, and analytical skills.\nStrong attention to detail.\nStrong organizational skills.\nAbility to manage multiple projects.\nOutstanding academic record and civil litigation experience, strongly preferred.\nMust be licensed to practice law in Kentucky.\nCOMPANY OVERVIEW\nCelebrating over 65 years of excellence, DBL Law is one of the largest firms in Louisville and Greater Cincinnati and the largest Northern Kentucky-based law firm.
