The Paralegal is responsible for supporting the probate and estate planning attorneys, as well as the systems and technologies used to create and track legal documents. This position is based in our Covington, KY office.\nJOB DUTIES\nAssist with projects, organizing and prioritizing tasks, caseload, and workflow.\nConfirm Continuing Legal Education (CLE) credits are being tracked and recommend additional classes, if needed\nHandle own caseload, to include drafting legal documents such as pleadings, memoranda, contracts, discovery requests/answers, general Paralegal duties as required.\nAct as a liaison between attorneys and clients, ensuring projects are completed accurately and timely as needed.\nConduct legal research, including use of relevant technologies.\nCoordination with lawyers, especially on urgent or complex tasks\nOther duties as assigned.\nQUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS\nBachelor's degree in legal administration, management, finance, or similar major.\nParalegal certificate from a nationally accredited program preferred, but not required.\nExperience working as a Paralegal in estate planning and probate.\nMember of local paralegal association and/or National Federation of Paralegal Association preferred, but not required.\nProficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel and basic computer skills\nDemonstrated communication and organization skills.\nCOMPANY OVERVIEW\nCelebrating over 65 years of excellence, DBL Law is one of the largest firms in Louisville and Greater Cincinnati and the largest Northern Kentucky-based law firm.
