In Group Technology, we manage most the Bank's operational processes and inspire to delight our business partners through our multiple banking delivery channels.\nRoles and Responsibilities:\nFinacle Customization: Design, develop, configure, and maintain Finacle customizations, user hooks, scripts, batch programs, menus, and interfaces in line with approved solution designs and coding standards.\nCore Banking Integration: Build and support secure integrations between Finacle and surrounding channels/platforms using APIs, messaging, file-based interfaces, and scheduled/batch processing; ensure reconciliation, error handling, idempotency, and auditability.\nFinacle Domain Delivery: Translate banking requirements into technical solutions across relevant product areas such as CASA/Term Deposits, Loans, payments, customer/account services, Wealth Management Services (WMS), and Core Banking integrations.\nFinacle Data & Scripting: Develop and optimize Oracle SQL/PLSQL and Unix/Shell scripts used for Finacle enquiries, reports, batch processing, operational utilities, and production diagnostics.\nFinacle Release & Environment Support: Support impact assessment, deployment packaging, configuration, regression validation, release implementation, and post-release verification across Finacle environments.\nDiagnose functional and technical issues across online and batch flows, analyze logs and database behavior, perform root-cause analysis, and implement durable fixes in partnership with operations and product teams\nMicroservices Development: Design, develop, and maintain microservices using Java 17+ (with Java 21 LTS) and Spring Boot 3.3.x including Spring Cloud 2023.x for microservices patterns. End-to-end integration experience of microservices with frontend systems using RESTful APIs and event-driven architecture\nDatabase Management: Develop and maintain databases using MySQL 8.x and Redis 7.x for caching and session management, optimizing for performance, reliability, and implementing database migrations using Liquibase or Flyway\nAPI Development: Create and document RESTful APIs using OpenAPI/Swagger specifications for seamless integration with frontend applications and third-party services. Experience with API Gateway (Spring Cloud Gateway or Kong) , GraphQL is a plus\nFeature Release: Collaborate with product teams and business stakeholders to gather requirements, translate business requirements into technical solutions, and implement new features following Domain Driven Design (DDD) principles, ensuring timely and successful releases\nBug Fixing: Troubleshoot and resolve bugs in a timely manner using Test Driven Development (TDD) approach, maintaining high standards of code quality and performance through comprehensive unit and integration testing\nApplication Updates: Regularly update applications implementing new features, addressing bugs, enhancing system performance, and following secure coding practices (OWASP Top 10 compliance) with production-quality code\nUpgrade Management: Manage upgrades of Spring Boot, backend databases, and cloud platform dependencies ensuring compatibility, improved performance, and maintaining zero-trust security architecture\nProduction Support: Work with operations team to monitor and troubleshoot production issues using observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack/Splunk, Jaeger/Zipkin), participate in on-call rotations and conduct post-mortem analysis\nDeployment Automation: Deploy microservices using CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions), containerize applications with Docker, and orchestrate with Kubernetes (deployments, services, ingress, ConfigMaps)\nPerformance Monitoring: Utilize monitoring tools (Micrometer, Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry) to analyze system performance, implement distributed tracing, and conduct performance testing using JMeter or Gatling based on metrics and feedback\nHands on experience on Finacle version 10.x/11.x\nRequirements\nDegree in Computing / Computer Science / Engineering preferred BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related subject with strong foundation in algorithms, data structures, and system design\nShould be able to apply Agentic AI approaches towards SDLC phases with AI first mindset\n4 to 10 years of years of experience in backend development, including hands-on Finacle customization/integration using Java, SQL and Unix/Shell scripting\nHands-on experience in Finacle application development, customization, implementation, upgrade, or production support within a Core Banking environment.\nWorking knowledge of Finacle architecture and common customization/integration constructs, including user hooks, scripts, batch jobs, interfaces, application configuration, and deployment artefacts.\nBanking domain knowledge in at least one area such as CASA/Term Deposits, Loans, payments, customer/account services, or Core Banking integrations.\nExperience troubleshooting Finacle online and batch issues through application logs, database analysis, interface monitoring, reconciliation, and root-cause analysis.\nExposure to Finacle deployments on OpenShift/Kubernetes and integration with Spring Boot microservices is preferred.\nProficient in Java 17+ features (records, sealed classes, pattern matching, virtual threads) with deep understanding of JVM internals, garbage collection, and performance tuning\nExperience with messaging and event streaming platforms (Apache Kafka 3.x, RabbitMQ, or AWS SQS/SNS) and event-driven architecture patterns\nKnowledge of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions), containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Helm, CloudFormation)\nExperience with MySQL 8.x or similar relational databases.
