As a gatekeeper for all regulations and controls, this person will ensure the identification of operational risks, periodic awareness and management accordingly.\nKey Accountabilities\nAct as the CBG Operations Risk Manager with below key responsibilities\nEnhance CBG India's risk governance framework by actively facilitating internal committees and ensuring robust representation in bank-wide governance forums.\nDevelop & ensure effective recommendation of all operational risk policies, standards, and guidelines, both at the corporate and unit-specific levels.\nRigorous oversight and highlight all deviations from corporate operational risk policies, upholding stringent control standards.\nStrategically coordinate all audit and regulatory inspections to ensure seamless collaboration and compliance with the requirements.\nEnsure flawless and timely reporting of operational risk events including analyzing and reporting operational risk events, loss trends and root cause to Team lead and relevant risk and control committees by adhering strictly to Group standards for completeness and accuracy,\nReview and provide advisory guidance on the efficacy and appropriateness of risk mitigating measures and plans.\nActively monitor Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) to identify and address emerging risks and maintain a robust risk posture.\nJob Duties & responsibilities (List the principal duties. Use concise statements that provide a clear understanding of the level of responsibility, complexity, creativity and analysis performed in this position.)\nRisk and Control Self-Assessment\nIdentify/update the scope of RCSA to be completed for CBG India.\nPlan and implement the RCSA program across all areas within CBG\nIdentifying and assessing inherent/net/residual risks and aligned internal controls with timely review / testing.\nValidate RCSA against actual risk event losses, KRI trends, audit and regulatory inspections\nGovernance of Partnership tie-up\nSupport UROM in facilitating the Outsourcing Risk Review with the control teams including ISS, Operations, Technology, Audit, GPS, Risk, Legal and Compliance\nFacilitate the assessment process required for Outsourced Service Providers with the Ecosystem partners and the control teams\nProduct/ Process Risk reviews\nFacilitate NPA review and approval process for CBG products within the Country and Regional stakeholders\nSupport in review periodic Product releases & Standard Operating procedures as and when needed and highlight controls to be built in\nIdentification and running of theme-based reviews of the processes from Controls perspective\nBusiness Risk Management\nIdentification of Legal and Compliance risks, mitigants and residual risks in co-ordination with the business & operations teams and facilitate the process of risk acceptance.\nFacilitate the business and operations team in establishing the risk framework for CBG and ensuring timely closures.\nPro-active audits to ensure the best possible audit rating\nLiaise with the Audit team to establish a risk-based audit approach for CBG\nProvide input for co-ordination with the audit team for assessments pertaining to CBG & close tracking on audit issues pertaining to CBG.\nBusiness Continuity Management\nEnsure timely implementation of BCM policies and standards\nEnsure timely reporting/ escalation of incidents causing disruptions to the business\nHighlight key BCM issues to unit management and track action plans to closure\nStakeholder & talent management\nProvide support during regulatory inspections to ensure data and responses provided are in line with requirements\nConstant compliance to laid down training & certification requirements and participate in creating culture of knowledge depth for self and within the team by regular input & knowledge sharing & upskilling.\nRequired Experience\nMinimum 4 to 8 years’ experience in banking, especially related to operational risk management & business risk controls\nExperience of multi-tasking and managing multiple stakeholders.\nBachelor’s degree from a recognized university\nPost graduate qualifications are desirable but not necessary if suitably compensated by top notch exposure to above listed experience\nProfessional qualifications on projects and change management are desirable but not mandatory.\nCore Competencies\nUnderstanding of country regulations specifically in consumer/ retail banking space\nUnderstanding of digital lending processes & Basic AI use \nProvide proative input for periodic review of the unit specific KRIs/ Common KRIs in consultation with BU/ SU Head\nAnalyze and monitor the KRI data highlight KRI trends and issues\nTechnical Competencies\nData Analysis: Proficiency in analyzing data to identify trends, patterns, and potential risks\nTimely implementation of BCM policies and standards\nAnalyse and monitor the KRI data and trends\nDBS India -
