We provide independent review and challenge to the business to ensure that appropriate balance is considered in risk/return decisions. In addition, RMG is responsible for the monitoring and reporting on key risk issues of the Bank. To manage risk effectively and deliver strong financial performance, we invest significantly in people and infrastructure.\nThe role is within the Data and AI Risk team in RMG and will be responsible for developing and maintaining a comprehensive risk management framework for Data and AI initiatives across the bank, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.\nResponsibilities:\nReviews Data risks and control effectiveness across the Group\nPerform independent Line 2 reviews for data risks and control effectiveness\nConduct regular risk assessments and reviews of existing Data systems and processes, identifying vulnerabilities and recommending improvements to strengthen controls and reduce risk. Including the reviews of data quality monitoring processes, assessment of data KRIs to ensure potential risks are addressed.\nReport review findings to management and committees\nContribute to the overall data risk landscape assessment for the Group\nTrack remediation of identified data issues from Line 2 reviews and ensure action plans are adequate\nWork closely with Data Risk team members in Group and locations to keep abreast of emerging data risk issues\nSupport articulation of data risk issues, incidents, and control gaps\nContribute and participate in data governance projects where required\nParticipate in industry forums and share best practices to stay abreast of emerging trends in Data risk management.\nRequirements:\nExperience (8+ years) in risk management or audit, with a strong focus on Data risk.\nKeen awareness of risk and control concepts and experience in performing control testing\nStrong knowledge of relevant regulations and industry best practices related to Data risk management frameworks.\nExcellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills\nStrong report writing skills, with ability to articulate key issue findings, risk impact and root cause analysis\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and assess risks effectively.\nBachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Accounting, Banking, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics).
