This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong interest in history and a passion for creating high-quality digital content.\nWorking closely with our Senior Content Curator, you'll play a key role in developing thematic collections, maintaining metadata quality, producing engaging editorial content, and ensuring projects are delivered accurately and on time.\nWhether your background is in academic research, publishing, digital humanities, archives, editorial work or content operations, we'd love to hear from you.\nWhat you'll be doing\nYou'll support the delivery of content projects from concept through to publication, including:\nResearching and helping curate thematic historical collections\nCreating, editing and uploading content using our content management systems\nReviewing and improving metadata to ensure accuracy and discoverability\nCarrying out quality assurance checks to maintain academic and editorial standards\nWriting and editing blog posts, landing pages and supporting content\nMonitoring and reporting on content performance trends\nMaintaining content workflows and operational documentation\nCollaborating with product, licensing and marketing colleagues on content projects\nSupporting editorial partnerships, internships and wider academic engagement activities\nWhy join us?\nAt DC Thomson, we're proud to create products and services that inform, educate and inspire millions of people. for\nYou'll thrive in this role if you have:\nA strong interest in history, heritage, humanities or academic research\nExperience in copywriting, copyediting or content production\nExperience with academic or editorial content workflows\nConfidence using Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint\nExperience with Dublin Core, MARC, controlled vocabularies, taxonomy work, and digital archive cataloguing\nThe ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across different disciplines\nExperience working with academics or researchers, licensing partners, and marketing or product teams\nFluent in English\nEligible to work in the UK\nIt would be great if you also have\nA postgraduate qualification in History, Humanities or a related field\nExperience using digital humanities resources for teaching or research\nExperience working with content management systems (CMS)\nExperience coordinating content from multiple contributors\nKnowledge of metadata
