Repairs will be performed to FMCSA standards and completed based on written estimates.\nDuties and Responsibilities\nTroubleshoot and repair all chassis defects\nIncluding ABS systems; air brake systems, wheels end, and structural assemblies\nSome welding and fabrication of chassis\nUse of mobile app to log work orders and document repairs\nUse of a Mobile truck to drive to locations and complete repairs to DCLI chassis. (valid drivers license)\nQualifications\nHigh School Diploma or GED required\nAt least 2-years of experience in trailer/chassis mechanics, usage and customary repair methods\nFMCSA and brake certifications required\nKnowledge in welding MIG and/or ARC welding, torch use\nKnowledge of AAR, IICL and DOT rules and criteria\nAbility to work in a shop environment primarily with the possibility of some mobile repairs\nAbility to work independently, efficiently and without direct supervision\nExcellent communication skills both verbal and written\nMust be willing to work all shifts as required with the potential to work weekends depending on seasonal demand\nCapable of lifting 50 lbs\nAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals\nMust be proficient in all Microsoft Office products and phone apps for work order processing\nMust have a valid drivers license and a good driving history.\nMust be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening\nDirect Reports\nN/A\nBenefits\nWe understand that your role at CSS is only part of who you are.
