production-quality software.\nResponsibilities\nData Path Software Development\nDesign and implement high-performance data path components for the Data Ocean platform.\n\nDevelop intelligent caching capabilities for object storage workloads.\n\nBuild scalable services for data movement across object, file, and block storage environments.\n\nImplement metadata management services supporting efficient object tracking, lookup, and on-demand retrieval.\n\nDevelop cache management capabilities including quota management, eviction policies, and lifecycle controls.\n\nOptimize data transfer pipelines for throughput, latency, scalability, and reliability.\n\nAnalyze, debug, and optimize system performance across large-scale storage workloads.\n\nDevelop production-quality C/C++ software for high-performance storage systems.\n\nDesign and implement multithreaded, concurrent systems software on Linux platforms.\n\nWork on storage data path components involving caching, metadata handling, I/O processing, and distributed coordination.\n\nImprove scalability, reliability, and performance of core storage services through profiling and optimization.\n\nTroubleshoot complex system issues involving performance, concurrency, and data consistency.\n\nParticipate in architecture discussions, technical design reviews, and code reviews.\n\nCollaborate with senior engineers, architects, and cross-functional teams across global engineering locations.\n\nWork closely with QA, performance engineering, and release teams to deliver reliable production software.\n\nContribute to engineering best practices, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives.\n\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.\n\n8+ years of experience developing systems software, storage software, or distributed systems.\n\nStrong expertise in C/C++ programming with experience developing production-grade software.\n\nStrong Linux systems programming experience.\n\nExperience with multithreaded programming, concurrency, synchronization, and performance tuning.\n\nUnderstanding of storage systems, filesystems, or distributed storage architectures.\n\nExperience working with object storage concepts and APIs, including S3.\n\nAbility to debug complex software issues and optimize performance-critical systems.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience developing distributed storage systems or high-performance data platforms.\n\nKnowledge of filesystem internals, metadata management, and namespace services.\n\nExperience with intelligent caching, data tiering, replication, or data mobility solutions.\n\nFamiliarity with storage protocols and networking
