As a trusted leader within Deaconess, you’ll help cultivate a collaborative environment built on professionalism, accountability, respect, and a commitment to exceptional patient care.\nWhat You'll Do:\nProvide first-line supervision, guidance, and support to medical coding staff.\nMonitor coding quality, productivity, and performance to ensure department standards are met.\nPerform coding quality verification and help identify opportunities for improvement.\nEnsure coding practices comply with applicable State and Federal regulations, as well as organizational policies and procedures.\nIdentify opportunities to optimize reimbursement while maintaining coding accuracy and compliance.\nProvide training and ongoing education to new and existing coding staff.\nAssist with problem-solving and resolution of coding-related questions and concerns.\nAssist with reporting from coding and abstracting applications.\nSupport a positive, collaborative team environment focused on quality, accuracy, and continuous improvement.\nEducation & Experience:\nCompletion of High School or GED is required.\nA coding credential is required, such as Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) or Certified Professional Coder (CPC).
