You will own the support ticket queue, keep our office and device infrastructure running, and grow into owning IT requests that carry security implications, helping keep us compliant and audit-ready. You report to the Director of IT & Information Security, who will coach you as you build hands-on experience across IT operations, security, and compliance.\nWhat you'll do\nOwn the IT ticket queue, and act as the first point of contact for IT requests.\n\nTroubleshoot office infrastructure and end-user issues across Mac and Windows devices\n\nGrow into maintaining and owning IT requests with security implications\n\nHelp ensure systems meet compliance, security, and regulatory requirements, with guidance from the Director of IT & Information Security and the CTO\n\nBring security and compliance decisions to the Director with clear context, and learn how those calls get made\n\nMaintain and build documentation so the work is repeatable and audit evidence is easy to find\n\nAutomate repeatable work to cut manual effort and errors\n\nWhat skills you need\nEarly-career IT experience, such as help desk, IT support, a co-op, or an internship\n\nCurious and eager to build skills in IT operations, security, and compliance\n\nComfortable troubleshooting macOS and Windows, Google Workspace, Slack and other enterprise tools\n\nSkills or understanding of automation languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell\n\nStrong written communication and the habit of documenting your work\n\nGood judgment about when to fix something and when to escalate\n\nProblem solver who recognizes issues on their own and takes the first steps to fix them, without waiting to be asked\n\nOrganized and dependable on recurring work that nobody chases you for\n\nAble to work from our Toronto office\n\nNice to have\nExposure to a ticketing tool such as Jira Service Management\n\nFamiliarity with MDM, SSO, or identity and access management concepts\n\nInterest in security and compliance frameworks such as SOC 2\n\nRelevant diploma, degree, or certification (CompTIA A+, Security+, or similar)\n\nWhy this role\nYou will work directly with the Director of IT & Information Security and learn how IT operations, security, and compliance fit together, from the ticket queue to the audit.\nFounded in 2018 by leading capital markets lawyers, DealMaker has blazed its own trail as the leading online capital-raising platform.As a tech startup, we are well-capitalized, firmly established in our market, and ready to scale.
