This highly visible role is responsible for leading company-wide budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning while ensuring alignment between Deciphera’s business priorities and the broader Ono Pharma Group strategy.\nThe Senior Director will provide strategic financial leadership and analysis to support portfolio planning, investment decisions, and enterprise-wide resource allocation. Working closely with leaders across Deciphera and Ono Pharma headquarters, this individual will deliver financial insights, challenge key business assumptions, and help drive informed decision-making in support of both short- and long-term corporate objectives. In addition, the role will lead and develop a high-performing FP&A team while advancing the company’s financial planning, reporting, and decision-support capabilities to support continued growth and organizational success.\nWhat You'll Do\nFinancial Planning & Analysis\nLead the company's annual budget and quarterly forecasting processes, establishing financial targets, key assumptions, and planning timelines.\nDrive analysis of financial and operational performance against budget and forecast, identifying key drivers, risks, opportunities, and recommendations.\nPartner with functional leaders throughout the organization to provide financial guidance, challenge assumptions, and support informed decision-making.\nLead financial reporting and forecasting activities in collaboration with Ono Pharmaceutical corporate headquarters.\nDevelop impactful financial analyses, business cases, and executive-level presentations for senior leadership and global stakeholders.\nEnsure alignment between financial plans, strategic priorities, and operational objectives.\nEnhance and streamline FP&A processes, tools, reporting capabilities, and planning methodologies.\nStrategic Finance\nLead Deciphera's Strategic Finance function, providing direction and oversight on high-priority financial initiatives.\nPartner cross-functionally to support portfolio strategy, investment decisions, resource allocation, and business planning.\nOversee financial modeling, scenario planning, and evaluation of strategic alternatives across development and commercial programs.\nTranslate complex financial analyses into clear, actionable insights for executive leadership and corporate stakeholders.\nTeam Leadership\nLead, coach, and develop a high-performing finance team.\nEstablish clear goals, performance expectations, and career development plans.\nFoster a culture of accountability, operational excellence, continuous improvement, and collaboration.\nBuild organizational capabilities that support Deciphera's growth and evolving business needs.\nOther duties and responsibilities as assigned\n Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline.\n10+ years of relevant finance experience with significant FP&A and/or strategic finance leadership experience within the pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical industry.\nProven experience leading enterprise-wide budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes.\nStrong financial and business acumen with demonstrated ability to influence strategic decisions through data-driven analysis.\nExperience developing and presenting financial insights to executive leadership teams.\nDemonstrated success leading, mentoring, and developing finance professionals.\nExceptional communication, presentation, collaboration, and stakeholder-management skills.\nAbility to effectively partner with senior executives, cross-functional leaders, and global corporate stakeholders.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience supporting portfolio planning, business development initiatives, and strategic investment decisions within the life sciences industry.\nExperience operating within a global organization and collaborating with international stakeholders and corporate headquarters.\nAdvanced financial modeling, forecasting, and scenario-planning expertise.\nProven ability to build scalable FP&A processes and reporting capabilities in a growing organization.\nAbility to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment while balancing strategic leadership with hands-on execution.\nExperience with enterprise planning and ERP systems; familiarity with Adaptive Insights and Oracle Fusion preferred.\n Deciphera is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The base salary pay range for this role is $224,900- $309,200. Actual compensation packages will depend on various factors, including, but not limited to depth of experience, education, skillset, overall performance and/or location.\nDeciphera believes in providing a competitive compensation and benefits package to all employees.
