These roles maintain code repositories, repeatable builds, automated tests, deployment tooling, infrastructure-as-code assets, promotion controls, and automated rollback capabilities.\nThe CI/CD Engineers work with software developers, testers, architects, cybersecurity personnel, cloud and infrastructure engineers, configuration-management staff, operations teams, and Government stakeholders. They help ensure that source code, infrastructure, pipeline scripts, application packages, and releases are versioned, reproducible, traceable, and deployable through controlled processes.\nThese contract bid. \nDuties & Responsibilities\nThe CI/CD Engineers will:\nDesign, build, configure, maintain, and improve continuous-integration and continuous-delivery pipelines. \nMaintain approved source-code repositories and associated branching, merging, pull-request, tagging, and release practices. \nDevelop and sustain repeatable, automated build processes for applications, services, interfaces, infrastructure, and supporting components. \nIntegrate unit, integration, regression, security, accessibility, and other automated tests into delivery pipelines as appropriate. \nDevelop and maintain automated deployment tooling across development, integration, testing, staging, and production environments. \nDevelop and maintain version-controlled infrastructure-as-code, configuration-as-code, and pipeline-as-code assets. \nMaintain versioned scripts, templates, manifests, modules, parameters, and deployment configurations. \nImplement controlled promotion processes and quality gates for movement between approved environments. \nSupport separation of duties, required approvals, artifact integrity, traceability, and release authorization controls. \nDevelop and maintain automated rollback, recovery, redeployment, and environment-restoration capabilities. \nEnsure build and deployment artifacts are stored, versioned, secured, and traceable to approved source code and releases. \nPrepare and maintain build instructions, installation procedures, deployment procedures, configuration guidance, and rollback instructions. \nTroubleshoot failed builds, automated tests, pipeline stages, artifact issues, deployment errors, and environment inconsistencies. \nPerform root-cause analysis and implement durable corrections for recurring pipeline and deployment failures. \nMonitor pipeline reliability, execution times, failure rates, deployment frequency, recovery performance, and related engineering metrics. \nIncorporate feedback from development, testing, cybersecurity, release management, and operations teams into pipeline improvements. \nCoordinate with cybersecurity personnel to integrate approved security scanning, dependency analysis, code analysis, artifact scanning, and compliance checks. \nProtect credentials, keys, tokens, certificates, secrets, and service accounts used by build and deployment processes. \nSupport configuration-management baselines and ensure deployed components align with approved versions and release records. \nSupport development, integration, and test environments and help maintain consistency across environments. \nCoordinate with cloud, infrastructure, database, network, and application teams to resolve deployment dependencies. \nSupport application modernization, cloud migration, platform transition, and release-readiness activities. \nParticipate in peer reviews, design reviews, pipeline reviews, security reviews, and technical walkthroughs. \nParticipate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily coordination, reviews, demonstrations, and retrospectives. \nProvide implementation estimates and identify pipeline dependencies, technical risks, assumptions, constraints, and impediments. \nMaintain technical documentation, operational procedures, known-issue information, and troubleshooting guidance in approved repositories. \nSupport Government demonstrations, release validation, operational transition, and post-deployment verification. \nContribute to continuous improvement of DevSecOps, automation, configuration management, testing, release, and operational-feedback practices. \nQualifications\nRequired Qualifications\nCandidates must possess all the following:\nAn active Secret clearance or higher. \nA bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, software engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent permitted by the applicable labor category. \nAt least six years of relevant professional experience. \nExperience designing, building, maintaining, or troubleshooting CI/CD pipelines. \nExperience developing or maintaining infrastructure-as-code. \nExperience implementing or supporting automated software deployments. \nExperience diagnosing and resolving build, test, pipeline, artifact, or deployment failures. \nExperience working with source-code repositories and version-control practices. \nExperience supporting repeatable builds and automated testing within delivery pipelines. \nAbility to develop and maintain version-controlled pipeline scripts, infrastructure definitions, and deployment configurations. \nAbility to support controlled deployment promotion, approval gates, release traceability, and rollback automation. \nAbility to prepare and maintain build, installation, deployment, and recovery procedures. \nAbility to apply secure practices to pipeline credentials, secrets, artifacts, service accounts, and deployment tooling. \nAbility to collaborate effectively with developers, testers, architects, cybersecurity personnel, infrastructure engineers, operations teams, and Government stakeholders. \nStrong scripting, automation, analytical, troubleshooting, technical documentation, and communication skills. \nPreferred Qualifications\nThe following qualifications are preferred:\nAn AWS cloud certification, such as AWS Certified CloudOps Engineer - Associate, AWS Certified Developer - Associate, AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer - Professional, or an equivalent current AWS credential. \nExperience supporting federal or Department of Defense software-development, cloud, or modernization programs. \nExperience supporting mission-critical, regulated, security-sensitive, or high-availability systems. \nExperience with pipeline platforms such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, AWS CodePipeline, or comparable solutions. \nExperience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, OpenTofu, AWS CloudFormation, Ansible, or comparable technologies. \nExperience with artifact repositories and registries such as Artifactory, Nexus, GitHub Packages, Amazon Elastic Container Registry, or comparable platforms. \nExperience with containers, Kubernetes, Helm, Docker, serverless services, or cloud-native platforms. \nExperience integrating static-code analysis, dependency scanning, secret scanning, container scanning, software-composition analysis, or dynamic testing into pipelines. \nExperience implementing policy-as-code, deployment gates, artifact signing, provenance verification, or software supply-chain controls. \nExperience with automated database changes, configuration promotion, environment provisioning, or blue-green and canary deployment strategies. \nExperience with monitoring, logging, alerting, metrics, and operational-feedback tools. \nExperience with Agile, DevSecOps, configuration-management, release-management, and secure software-development practices. \nFamiliarity with DoD security requirements, DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides, risk-management controls, and
