This role supports execution of the Quality Management Plan, performs quality reviews of program deliverables and workflows, and validates Task Order Management Portal enhancements before release.\nThe QA Specialist will test portal forms, automations, dashboards, permissions, workflows, and data-quality controls to confirm that capabilities meet Government requirements and function as intended. The successful candidate will document and track defects, manage Corrective Action Requests and Preventive Action Requests, support root-cause analysis, and help capture lessons learned that improve program performance.\nThis position is remote, with preference given to candidates located in or near Chicago.\nNote: By applying to this position, you acknowledge and consent to having your resume included in an active competitive government contract bid.\nDuties & Responsibilities\nThe QA Specialist will:\nSupport implementation, execution, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the program Quality Management Plan. \nPerform quality-assurance and quality-control reviews of program deliverables, reports, workflows, forms, records, and supporting documentation. \nVerify that deliverables are accurate, complete, consistent, traceable to requirements, and compliant with approved standards and formats. \nDevelop and execute test plans, test cases, test scripts, checklists, and validation procedures for Task Order Management Portal enhancements. \nValidate portal forms, workflows, automations, dashboards, notifications, permissions, data fields, calculations, and reports. \nConfirm that portal enhancements satisfy documented Government requirements and acceptance criteria before release. \nConduct functional, regression, integration, workflow, permissions, and data-quality testing. \nDocument test results, defects, expected and actual behavior, severity, supporting evidence, and recommended corrective actions. \nEnter, classify, prioritize, track, retest, and close defects in accordance with approved procedures. \nManage Corrective Action Requests and Preventive Action Requests from identification through validated closure. \nPerform or support root-cause analyses for defects, process failures, recurring findings, and quality-performance concerns. \nVerify that corrective and preventive actions resolve identified issues and reduce the likelihood of recurrence. \nTrack quality-review findings, responsible owners, due dates, status, remediation evidence, and closure decisions. \nSupport Monthly Status Reports, project status meetings, Program Management Reviews, and other reporting activities with quality metrics and trend information. \nAnalyze defect trends, recurring quality issues, workflow failures, data discrepancies, and opportunities for process improvement. \nMaintain quality records, test evidence, review logs, defect registers, corrective-action records, lessons learned, and audit trails. \nSupport quality reviews of transition documentation, trip reports, purchasing packages, status reports, plans, and other program artifacts. \nParticipate in release-readiness reviews and provide evidence-based recommendations regarding deployment. \nCoordinate testing and quality reviews with the Quality Manager, developers, portal administrators, task leads, program analysts, and Government stakeholders. \nAssist with internal assessments, Government reviews, quality-surveillance activities, and audit preparation. \nCapture lessons learned and recommend updates to processes, controls, templates, test suites, and quality procedures. \nProtect sensitive Government, program, personnel, test, and performance information. \nQualifications\nRequired Qualifications\nActive Secret clearance or higher. \nBachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, Quality Management, or a related field. \nMinimum of 6 years of relevant professional experience. \nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience in software quality assurance, software testing, program quality, quality control, business-process testing, or a related discipline. \nExperience supporting Department of Defense, federal civilian, or other Government programs. \nExperience implementing or supporting a formal Quality Management Plan. \nExperience reviewing contract deliverables for accuracy, completeness, consistency, traceability, and compliance. \nExperience developing and executing test plans, test cases, test scripts, acceptance criteria, and regression-testing procedures. \nExperience testing forms, workflows, automations, dashboards, permissions, notifications, reports, and data-quality controls. \nExperience validating Microsoft SharePoint, Power Platform, ServiceNow, Jira, or comparable portal and workflow capabilities. \nExperience documenting, classifying, prioritizing, tracking, retesting, and closing software defects. \nExperience managing Corrective Action Requests, Preventive Action Requests, or comparable remediation workflows. \nExperience performing root-cause analysis and validating corrective and preventive actions. \nExperience conducting functional, regression, integration, workflow, permissions, and user-acceptance testing. \nFamiliarity with Agile, Scrum, DevSecOps, ITIL, or hybrid delivery environments. \nKnowledge of requirements traceability, release management, configuration management, and change-control practices. \nFamiliarity with ISO 9001, CMMI, Lean Six Sigma, or comparable quality frameworks. \nExperience using Azure DevOps, Jira, ServiceNow, Power BI, SharePoint, automated testing tools, or comparable quality-management platforms. \nITIL Foundation, CSQA, ISTQB, ASQ, Lean Six Sigma, or a comparable quality or testing certification. \nStrong analytical, testing, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities. \nExcellent written and verbal communication skills. \nStrong organizational, documentation, and time-management skills. \nHigh attention to detail and commitment to objective, evidence-based quality decisions. \nAbility to translate Government requirements into testable acceptance criteria. \nAbility to manage multiple reviews, test cycles, defects, corrective actions, and deadlines. \nAbility to communicate quality findings clearly and collaborate
