Developers will:\nDesign, develop, test, integrate, document, and maintain assigned software capabilities. \nImplement application features based on approved requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical designs. \nDevelop software components, services, interfaces, and supporting application logic. \nWrite clean, secure, maintainable, and testable source code. \nDevelop and maintain unit tests, integration tests, regression tests, and other automated quality checks. \nPerform application maintenance, component updates, refactoring, and technical-debt reduction. \nInvestigate, reproduce, diagnose, and correct software defects. \nSupport root-cause analysis and implement durable corrective actions. \nAssist with security remediation by implementing approved source-code, dependency, configuration, or application changes. \nParticipate in peer reviews, code reviews, design discussions, and technical walkthroughs. \nIncorporate review feedback and comply with established software-development standards. \nUse approved version-control practices, including branches, commits, merges, pull requests, and release tagging. \nSupport continuous integration, automated builds, testing, and deployment activities. \nDevelop and maintain technical documentation, including code comments, interface descriptions, API documentation, build instructions, installation procedures, and release information. \nSupport software integration and troubleshooting across application, database, interface, infrastructure, and cloud components. \nCollaborate with requirements analysts to clarify requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria. \nCollaborate with testers to resolve defects and verify completed corrections. \nCoordinate with cybersecurity personnel to address identified vulnerabilities and secure-coding concerns. \nSupport Government demonstrations, user acceptance testing, operational validation, and stakeholder feedback. \nParticipate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily coordination, sprint reviews, demonstrations, and retrospectives. \nProvide implementation estimates and identify technical dependencies, assumptions, constraints, risks, and impediments. \nMaintain accurate work status, technical notes, and delivery information in approved Agile and collaboration tools. \nSupport deployment, release-readiness, and post-release validation activities. \nProtect sensitive data and comply with applicable federal, DoD, security, privacy, and configuration-management requirements. \nParticipate in knowledge sharing, cross-training, and continuous improvement of development and testing practices. \nQualifications\nRequired Qualifications\nCandidates must possess all the following:\nAn active Secret clearance or higher. \nA bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, software engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent permitted by the applicable labor category. \nAt least six years of relevant professional experience. \nExperience developing, testing, and maintaining software applications or systems. \nExperience implementing application features from approved requirements, user stories, or technical designs. \nExperience developing and maintaining unit tests. \nExperience investigating and correcting software defects. \nExperience performing software maintenance, updates, or component enhancements. \nExperience preparing or maintaining technical software documentation. \nExperience using version-control and structured source-code management practices. \nAbility to write secure, maintainable, and testable source code. \nAbility to collaborate with developers, architects, analysts, testers, cybersecurity personnel, platform engineers, and Government stakeholders. \nStrong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills. \nAbility to work effectively in an Agile software-delivery environment and manage assigned work through completion. \nPreferred Qualifications\nThe following qualifications are preferred:\nA relevant software-development or cloud certification from AWS, Microsoft, Google Cloud, Oracle, Red Hat, or another recognized provider. \nExperience supporting federal or Department of Defense software-development or modernization programs. \nExperience developing mission-critical, regulated, security-sensitive, or high-availability applications. \nExperience with one or more modern development languages or platforms, such as Java, C#, .NET, Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, or comparable technologies. \nExperience developing or integrating RESTful APIs, web services, or system interfaces. \nExperience with relational databases, structured query languages, data-access frameworks, or data modeling. \nExperience with automated testing frameworks and test-driven or behavior-driven development practices. \nExperience with static-code analysis, dependency scanning, software-composition analysis, or other application-security tools. \nExperience with continuous integration, continuous delivery, and DevSecOps practices. \nExperience with cloud services, containers, microservices, or modern application-platform technologies. \nExperience using Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence, GitHub, GitLab, or comparable development and collaboration tools.
