This role leads the end-to-end product lifecycle, aligning user needs, mission objectives, and technical capabilities into a cohesive and actionable product strategy.\nThe Software Product Management Lead partners with engineering teams, UX specialists, PMO leadership, and mission stakeholders to prioritize features, refine requirements, manage backlogs, and ensure product releases deliver measurable value.\nThis position is fully remote. \nDuties & Responsibilities\nThe Software Product Management Lead will:\nDefine and maintain the product vision, strategy, and roadmap aligned with mission and user needs. \nLead backlog prioritization, sprint planning, and user story refinement. \nDevelop clear, actionable user stories, acceptance criteria, and feature descriptions. \nConduct stakeholder interviews, workshops, and requirement-gathering sessions. \nFacilitate cross-functional collaboration between engineering, UX, QA, security, and operations teams. \nManage product lifecycles from concept through delivery and iterative improvement. \nAnalyze user feedback, operational metrics, and mission needs to adjust product priorities. \nEnsure product decisions are data-driven and aligned with enterprise objectives. \nSupport release planning, roadmap presentations, and executive-level product briefings. \nMaintain product documentation, decision logs, and feature tracking artifacts. \nPromote Agile best practices and continuous improvement across product teams. \nQualifications\nClearance Requirement\nMust hold an active Secret clearance, supported by a Tier 3 background investigation.\nEducation (Required)\nBachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.\nExperience (Required)\nMinimum 10 years of experience in product management, software development leadership, or Agile delivery roles. \nExperience defining product strategy, roadmaps, and user-focused features. \nExperience working with Agile methodologies and leading cross-functional teams. \nExperience collaborating with technical teams to translate user needs into actionable stories. \nExperience supporting product management in federal or enterprise environments preferred. \nTechnical Knowledge (Required)\nStrong understanding of Agile product delivery, backlog management, and sprint planning. \nKnowledge of software development processes, technical requirements, and system dependencies. \nFamiliarity with ITIL practices and their alignment with product operations. \nUnderstanding of user experience considerations and mission-driven feature prioritization. \nTechnical Knowledge (Preferred)\nExperience using tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence, or similar platforms. \nFamiliarity with data-driven decision-making frameworks for product prioritization. \nCertifications\nRequired:\nITIL v4 Foundation \nCertified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) \nPreferred:\nPMP or Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) \nAdditional product management or Agile leadership certifications \nSkills\nStrong communication and facilitation skills with technical and non-technical audiences. \nExcellent analytical and prioritization abilities. \nAbility to drive consensus across diverse stakeholder groups. \nStrong organizational skills and attention to detail. \nAbility to lead product direction in a fast-paced mission environment. \nOur Equal Employment Opportunity Policy\nEEO and Affirmative Action Policy: DecisionPoint Corporation is an Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action employer.
