This position supports the administration, sustainment, security, and optimization of enterprise systems across classified and unclassified DoD environments.\nThe Senior System Administrator will support Windows server environments, Active Directory, SCCM, virtualization, storage, backup and recovery, enterprise services, vulnerability remediation, STIG implementation, and system documentation. The role requires experienced technical leadership in secure DoD IT environments and the ability to coordinate with Government stakeholders, cybersecurity personnel, network teams, service providers, and junior administrators to maintain system availability, performance, and compliance.\nThis position is fully on-site at MOTSU - Sunny Point, NC.\nNote: By applying to this position, you acknowledge and consent to having your resume included in an active competitive government contract bid.\nDuties & Responsibilities\nTheSenior System Administrator will:\nServe as a technical lead for system administration activities, coordinating issue resolution and daily operations with Government, contractor, cybersecurity, network, application, and service provider teams. \nInstall, configure, maintain, patch, monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize Army-approved server operating systems, Windows services, enterprise applications, and supporting infrastructure. \nAdminister Active Directory and core enterprise services, including user and computer accounts, security groups, permissions, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, SMTP, file shares, certificate services, DoD PKI, and email/account request processes. \nManage virtual, storage, and backup environments, including virtual servers, hosts, clusters, VDI components, NAS/SAN resources, file permissions, replication, recovery, disaster recovery, and continuity of operations support. \nSupport SCCM and endpoint management activities, including software packaging, imaging, operating system deployment, patch deployment, third-party software deployment, client health monitoring, inventory, and compliance reporting. \nInstall, configure, troubleshoot, and sustain commercial and Government-provided software across approved operating systems, hardware platforms, and mission environments. \nApply and document STIGs, vulnerability remediation, IAVA support, patching, POA&Ms, scan result review, compliance reporting, and other cybersecurity requirements. \nProvide technical artifacts and documentation supporting ATO, C&A, audits, SOPs, troubleshooting guides, system configurations, architecture diagrams, and accreditation packages. \nMonitor and resolve system administration trouble tickets, recommend improvements to performance, reliability, security, and infrastructure operations, and support contingency, emergency, exercise, surge, and after-hours requirements. \nEnsure all assigned activities comply with applicable DoD, Army, USTRANSCOM, SDDC, information assurance, cybersecurity, and operational requirements. \nQualifications\nClearance Requirement:\nMust hold an active Secret clearance. \nMust be eligible to obtain and maintain required Common Access Card (CAC), facility access, system access, and Government network access. \nEducation:\nHigh School Diploma (Required) \nBachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related technical discipline preferred.\nExperience:\nMinimum 8 years of experience supporting systems administration, server administration, infrastructure operations, or enterprise IT support within DoD or federal environments. \nExperience administering Windows server environments, Active Directory, Group Policy, permissions, file shares, and enterprise services. \nExperience supporting SCCM administration, software deployment, patch management, operating system deployment, imaging, software inventory, and compliance reporting. \nExperience administering virtualized environments, including virtual servers, workstations, hosts, clusters, datastores, resource pools, or virtual desktop infrastructure. \nExperience supporting storage administration, backup and recovery, data replication, disaster recovery, continuity of operations, and file storage services. \nExperience implementing DISA STIG requirements, supporting vulnerability remediation, maintaining compliance documentation, and supporting audit activities. \nExperience troubleshooting complex hardware, software, endpoint, server, application, storage, virtualization, and connectivity issues in secure enterprise environments. \nExperience coordinating with cybersecurity teams, network teams, service providers, Government stakeholders, and technical leads to resolve operational issues. \nTechnical Knowledge:\nKnowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, SMTP, file services, certificate services, DoD PKI, and enterprise account administration. \nFamiliarity with SCCM, software packaging, patch deployment, operating system deployment, client monitoring, software inventory, and IAVA compliance reporting. \nKnowledge of virtualization platforms, virtual server administration, VDI concepts, host management, datastores, clusters, resource pools, templates, and licensing. \nUnderstanding of storage administration, NAS/SAN concepts, NTFS permissions, CIFS shares, iSCSI LUNs, NFS storage, backup, recovery, and data replication. \nKnowledge of DISA STIGs, vulnerability management, patch management, system hardening, POA&M support, audit support, and compliance documentation. \nFamiliarity with DoD information assurance requirements, ATO support, cybersecurity documentation, secure configuration management, and mission assurance practices. \nAbility to use scripting or automation tools, such as PowerShell, batch scripts, JavaScript, or comparable approved scripting languages, to support routine administration, patching, and configuration tasks. \nCertifications (Preferred):\nMust hold applicable DoD 8140 / IAT Level II certification as required for the position. \nMust meet applicable PWS IA baseline and computing environment certification requirements, as validated against the DD254 and final RFP. \nSecurity+ CE, CySA+, Microsoft, VMware, Windows Server, SCCM, or other relevant technical certification preferred, depending on final labor category and access requirements. \nSkills:\nStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across server, desktop, virtualization, storage, and enterprise service environments. \nAbility to provide senior technical guidance and coordinate system administration activities in mission-focused DoD environments. \nStrong attention to detail when applying STIGs, documenting configurations, reviewing logs, supporting audits, and maintaining compliance artifacts. \nAbility to coordinate effectively with cybersecurity teams, network administrators, service providers, Government stakeholders, and technical leads. \nStrong written and verbal communication skills for documenting issues, reporting status, preparing technical artifacts, and
